Chapter 12, First day as a runner.

*your pov*

The next day I started my running and I would be with Minho again. Just for precautions, I could not be alone. That was Newt's say in the meeting that if I was to run, I had to be with Minho.

I checked the laces on the shoes I was givin, they were too big for me so I had to tie them tight. After that, I checked my backpack and saw that I had everything.

I headed towards the dorms and stood, waiting on Minho to show up, but instead, Newt walked up to me and, again, pulled me in for a hug.

"Be careful, show me that you can do this y/n..."

*flashback*

"Show me you can do this y/n." Newt said as I walked with him to the testing room. I was to be tested with a new syrum that has never been used before. It was supposed to make me immortal. Nothing could kill me. No gun, no blade, no sickness.

He took my hand in his and looked me in the eyes as soon as we reached the lab doors,

"Just please try to make it out ok!" He had kinda yelled that last part and pulled me in for his usual hug. But I didn't wrap my arms around him. He said try.

"Wait, do you think I can't do this?" I asked and he looked at me shocked.

"I didn't say tha-" I cut him off,

"You said try newt. You're supposed to go into that maze soon and you're worrying about me being able to pass a test? You won't even remember me!" I slapped my hand over my mouth when I said that. No one but me and Thomas knew.

"I-i'm sorry Newt." Was the last thing I said before I walked into the room"

*flashback end*

This time, I didn't wrap my arms around him again, just like last time. And I whispered the same thing,

"You think I can't do this?" A tear escaped my eye and ran down my cheek. Newt reached to wipe it away but I backed away.

The doors started to open and Mingo was jogging up, ready to go.
"I'm sorry newt," was the last thing I said before I entered the maze for the second time.

Sorry I haven't updated in so long, I kinda got caught up In my other book. My pewdiepie story. But I should be back on this one now. But hey! Who here likes anime?
