It was time to explain jobs to the boy.
" alright, you get assigned a job not long after you remember your name. The biggest jobs are:
Runnner, Builder, Bricknicks, Slopper, Bagger, Cook, Track-Hoe, Med-Jack, Slicer, and Map-Maker.
A runner is the only glader allowed to leave the Glade, but you have to be strong, fast and brave. That is what I am.
A Builder has it in its name! They Build stuff for the rest of the gladers to live in orse use.
A Bricknick, is basically a repair person. They just make repairs.
A slopper cleans up after evryone else, only given to you if you're not good at other jobs,
A Bagger is kinda like a guard, and will deal with dead bodies if it ever comes to the time we need to
The Cooks cook food for everyone, they stay in the kitchens cooking anything the track-hoes and Slicers produce
Track-Hoes are just gardeners, I am also one of them, only when im not running.
Med-Jacks are the doctors of the glade, they helped Newt's ankle after he broke it actually,
Slicers, raise and slaughter livestock for food,
and map makers make maps based off what the runners bring back.
I know thats a lot of information at once and youre probably sick of hearing my voice, but you had to know!" I chuckled.
"Do I get to choose?" he asked, and i shook my head no. He looked kind of disappointed.
"Don't worry, I'm Sure you won't get slopper!" We both chuckle,
"Y/n! Bring the Newbie over! We are about to start the bonfire! We are about to get Newt!" Alby called to me,
I smiled and motioned for the boy to go over to alby calling out
