The alarm had gone off, the same one I heard coming up in the box, aside from the metal on metal. Could this mean that someone else is here? I've studied the box every week, but it has only sounded the alarm once. And that was when I came up.
I quickly jogged over to the box and waited for it to open. My predictions were right! A young boy, he looked to be about a year younger than me, laid there, fear in his eyes.
Nick and a couple of the other boys helped him out of the box and I was ushered forward as a person to comfort the boy. I mean, just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I'm the first to comfort someone. But this boy was different, he wanted to run. To get away as fast as he can.
He reminded me of myself. Doesn't know what's going on.
I stuck out my hand for him to take, then I studied his features, Black hair and blue eyes, slight freckles dusted on his nose. and a scar on his upper lip.
"My name is Y/n. Welcome to the glade greenie. You'll remember your name in a few days."
Greenie was the only name I could think of. That is what I was called when I first arrived, so I found it fitting to use it on someone else new.
The boy took my hand and shook it. I looked over at Nick, wondering if I should take him on the new recruit tour I had. He nodded his head and I made my way next to the new boy as the others unloaded supplies.
"Let me take you around your new home. The Glade. Where we grow our food, build our shelter, and live as one family."
The boy looked around, then finally at me, I had adverted my gaze to the doors,
"...and where we try to escape the maze."

Hi guys! Zelda here! I'm actually alive, yes. this summer was kinda busy, as usual. But I Just got a new laptop! So now I don't have to write on my phone all the time. I promise I'm making a comeback and I have some ideas for this story, I might Spam you guys with like 3 more chapters tonight. I've been writing a lot lately, epically on paper, I have a full binder dedicated to fanfiction, and a whole another notebook with an original story in it. but I wont start posting it until much later, when I have it more developed, and maybe even done.
