Chapter 18

Reader-chan POV

I hugged my pillow to my chest, my eyes wide open and a blush on my cheeks getting darker as each minute passed.

I couldn't stop thinking about Sebastian. He almost kissed me. He called me "love". He showed weakness in front of me, most importantly Ciel. He comforted me. He said he felt the opposite of hate. I groaned and buried my face in the pillow.

I was acting like a love sick little girl. I am a damn soldier who can kick ass, whether it's human or inhuman. But this is Sebastian, said a voice in my head. I smiled. I couldn't deny my feelings anymore. But I want to wait a bit more to see if he makes a move.

Weird...I'm not afraid of dying against a titan but I'm scared of confessing to Sebastian. Confessing I was madly in love with him.

But I also had to think about what Undertaker said. People who are after Ciel know I'm here and know everything about me. They tried to scare me with the hardened skin. Do they...think I'm a threat?

I snapped out of my train of thought when I heard a knock on my door. I got butterflies on my stomach thinking it was Sebastian. I breathed in and opened the door.

I smiled and blushed when I saw Sebastian standing outside, wearing his white dress shirt and his vest.

"Good evening (y/n)," he smiled softly at me. I grinned at him.

"Good evening Sebastian. Do you...need something?" I tilted my head to the side a bit. He cleared his throat and shook his head.

"I was wondering if you could come with me for a walk, I wish to speak with you for a moment, if you don't mind?" he asked, a hint of hope in his voice.

"I would love to."

"In that case..." he bowed and held his hand out. I mentally fainted in happiness and gently grasped his hand. He then brought it up to his lips and kissed my knuckles. I blushed and looked away as he chuckled softly.

He led me to the garden, and I couldn't help but stare at him as we walked, a blush darkening on my cheeks when he smiled back at me.

Sebastian led me to the fountain and motioned for me to sit down. And he kneeled in front of me.

"So bassy, whatcha wanna talk about?" I smirked. He cringed at the word bassy but shook it off.

"Well ever since you've arrived here at the manor, I couldn't help but feel attracted to you. I've never met a woman like you," he smiled, as my eyes widened a bit and my heart thumped against my chest. "You're independent, strong, brave, intelligent...and...well I could keep going all night," he chuckled. I swallowed the lump in my throat.

"W-what are you trying to say?" I stammered. Sebastian grabbed both my hands in his and looked me in the eye.

"I am madly in love you (y/n)," he said. I froze. I felt my heart explode. I retracted my hands from his grasp and flung myself at him laughing and burying my face in the crook of his neck. In return, he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer to him. I pulled away and smiled at him, resting my hands over his pale cheeks.

"I'm in love with you too," I said.

"Really? But how could you love a monster, a demon?" he asked, resting his forehead against mine.

"How could I not?" I whispered, caressing his cheekbones. "Besides...we're both monsters, Sebastian."

"What do you mean?" he whispered back.

"I'll tell you soon," I responded. He nodded and leaned in closer and I did too. His cold lips met mine, erupting sparks in me. Shivers ran up my spine as he tilted his head to get closer and pulled me against his chest. I inhaled through my nose and kissed back, running my fingers through his silky black hair. I never wanted this to end...but it had to because I needed oxygen. I was breathless, panting slightly, making him laugh.

"It seems as though our kiss left you breathless, my love," he teased. I blushed more and punched his shoulder.

"S-shut up, asshole," I muttered and looked away in embarrassment. Sebastian tilted my chin up and pecked my lips.

"I love you," he whispered in my ear.

"I hate you sometimes," I mumbled. He snickered and stood up.

"I'm afraid it's getting late, you should go to bed."

"Pfft as if I have a curfew, butler," I replied and got up from where I was sitting. I headed towards the manor and heard him walking behind me. I felt something grasp my fingers and looked down as Sebastian laced his fingers with mine. I smiled up at him and pecked his cheek before continuing to walk. He's so effing tall! I thought.

"Oh and Sebastian?" I asked, smirking and looking forward.

"Yes, darling?"

I looked up at him with my death glare and pulled him down by his tie.

"Mess with me in any way and I won't hesitate to kick your ass, then you'll see who's more deadly between us two. Got it?" I threatened. His eyes widened a bit and nodded slightly.

"Yes, ma'am."

I smiled. "Good. G'Night. Love you," I let go of his tie and patted his cheek, walking to my room, with a smile on my face.

Suddenly, Sebastian pulled me back and whirled me around. He pulled me towards him and crushed his lips to mine, dipping me back slightly. He pulled away after a few seconds and smiled down at me softly.

"You forgot my good night kiss, kitten," he pecked my forehead and let me stand up. I blinked and punched his chest.

"Ass," I muttered and walked inside, jumping on my bed and burying my face on my pillow and smiling. I'd scream but knowing him, he's probably pressing his ear against the door.

TIME-SKIP TO NEXT DAY

"Mey-Rin! Careful!" I shouted as I dove and caught the china that fell from her hands. I sighed and looked up at her.

"Oh my! Are you alright, (y/n)? That was quite a fall, yes it was," said Mey-Rin as she placed some plates in the cabinets and helping me up.

"Yeah, fine, just be careful, 'kay?" I asked. She smiled and nodded. Sebastian and Ciel, went into town as we stayed here at Ciel's townhouse. Apparently they wanted to investigate some murders that have been happening. Sebastian asked me to stay and make sure the house didn't explode by the time they got back.

I heard the front door open, and their voices as they came inside. I helped Mey-Rin put away the tea cups and we walked towards where they were, and apparently Lau and two other men were with them.

One had purple hair, while the other had white hair covered in some cloth and their clothing seemed...odd.

Ciel didn't seem happy they were here.

"Excuse you!! You did not save me!!" he exclaimed at them.

"You offer hospitality to those who saved you," said the purple haired man in a weird accent I've never heard before. The two men looked at us as we walked closer to where Finny and Bard were standing.

"Finny did you and Bard-" I was interrupted by the purple haired man.

"Ciel! Who is this beauty?!" he exclaimed. I looked at him and saw him smiling at me. Uhh...

"Are you talking about (y/n)?" responded Ciel.

"What a beautiful name for a beautiful lady! Tell me, (y/n), do you want to marry me?" he asked and grabbed my hand. Okaaaayyy...Um how bout...NO...I pulled my hand from his grasp and lift my leg. I kicked his torso, sending him flying backwards. Sadly, he was caught by the other man.

"My prince!" he shouted and looked at me. I cocked my eyebrow and dodged him when he tried punching me, his hand tied up in gauze. I looked at Sebastian who stood in front of me, blocking the man from lunging at me again.

"I'm afraid that's no way to treat a woman, especially someone like (y/n)," said Sebastian. I rolled my eyes and sighed. Great, more idiots to deal with...
