Demi's pov.

I had never been so nervous. Most of my relationships were for publicity or because I felt lonely. But this.. This was something real. I actually liked her and I really wanted things to go well.

We walked on the beach, letting the water touch our bare feet.

I was telling her about my career and what I did for a living. I didn't really wanna tell her about my past yet. I wanted to make sure she'd be fine with me being famous first.
Although she might find it on the internet if she'll google me haha.

"Your life sounds amazing", she said.
"It is, but its quite overwhelming most of the time."
"How do you deal with all that?", she asked. "I just do. I don't know actually. I think I just think about why I'm doing all this."
"That's so great. I'm glad you're doing something you love so much."
"Me too", I said.

"What do you tattoos mean?", she asked.

Why did you even asked that? I wasn't ready yet.

"I didn't know! Don't blame me for that all the time."

It's fine. I think deep inside of me, I knew we were going to end up together.

"Me too."

So, I told her about my tattoos.

I got to my last tattoo, the stay strong one.

"I got this one to remind myself to stay strong."

"That's beautiful", she said.

I was about to tell the rest of the story when she grabbed hand. I looked at her. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. It's okay. I noticed the scars, I get it." I smiled at her.
"I'm glad you trust me enough already to talk about it."

We kept walking and were surprisingly still holding hands.

"So what about you? What do you do?", I asked.

"Well, as you know I work at the coffe shop. I love making music. I suck at singing tho. I like to party. Uhm, what else is there to say.."

I noticed her looking down.

"You don't need to share anything you don't want to share", I said.

"It's not that big of a deal. It's just that.. I kinda have a drinking problem."

"I didn't say it like that! It would've scared you off."

I would never be scared off by you. But it was like that, don't deny it.

"Fine.."

So she told me about her drinking habits.

"We all have our imperfections", I said. "People will just have to accept them."

She smiled. I immediately felt the butterflies in my stomach.
"You're right."

I looked at my watch. 10.17 pm already.

"I'm sorry but I should go", I said. She looked at me confused.

"Well duh, it sounded like you were dumping my ass already."

You know I wasn't..

"Yeah, the day after."

Okay I'm sorry baby.

*Demi kisses Alex*

"Can I drop you off somewhere?", I asked. "I'll walk, thanks."

She walked away.

"That's it?", I said to myself. I ran after her. "Leaving so soon?", I asked.
"You had to go, so yeah. Not staying here by myself." "Let me walk you home then.. Please?" I pouted my bottom lip, causing her to smile. She nodded. "Great!"

We continued walking, talking and laughing.

After about 15 minutes we got to her house.

"This is my place", she said. It was quiet for a couple of seconds. "Do uh, do you want to come in", she stuttered. "I'd love to, but I really shouldn't."

She just nodded. "Sure."

"I don't want you to think bad of me. I'm just really afraid to take a step further, since I've never really dated anyone serious.. I apologize."

A smile formed on her face.

Her skin was glowing, her eyes were sparkling and her smile was mesmerizing.

"I'm glad you understand. I'll do better next time, I promise."

"Is there going to be a next time then?", she asked.

"Well, I hope so."

She just smiled and took a step closer. She took my hand and planted a soft kiss on my cheek.

"I had a great time, thank you. See you on our second date then?"

I smiled and nodded.

"Good night", she said slowly releasing my hand as she walked to her front door.

"Good night."

I had such a great time with you tho.

"Me too. It was a nice first date."

One I'll always remember.

"Me too."
