Demi's pov.
This story is one of my favorites. It's about how we got engaged, which was pretty magical.
We were together for about 1.5 year now and everything went great. I mean, of course we've had fights and all that, but that's part of a relationship.
I woke up one morning, and I turned around expecting to see Alex laying beside me like she always is. Instead, I found a note.
"Good morning princess,
Don't be scared, I'm just working on something. I'll be home for dinner.
Don't miss me too much haha.
I love you."
I smiled reading her last words.
I slowly got out of bed, thinking about what I was going to do today.
Once I got out of the shower, I had decided to just grab my guitar and chill a bit in the yard. I haven't really wrote any songs lately, so I was determined to write one.
About 2 hours past and I didn't really came for with the song. My phone started vibrating. I picked it up.
Alex.
"Hey baby", I said.
"Hey gorgeous. How are you doing?", she said. My stomach tickled at her words and her voice.
"I'm good. I miss you tho. What about you? What are you up to?", I said.
"I'll be home soon, I promise. And I can't tell you yet. Just be patient for a little longer okay?"
I sighed. "Sure."
"Great. I'll see you tonight princess", she said.
And once again, I had these little butterflies in my stomach.
"See you tonight baby. I love you."
"I love you more."
I smiled and hung up.
I placed my phone on the table and went back to my song. I had no idea what to write until Alex called.
I began.

That's when I wrote "Too Much Love".
"I didn't know you wrote that song about me."
How did you not know. It's so obvious.
"Well I'm not that clever okay."
Noticed.
So I just spent the rest of the day thinking of a good melody to go with the lyrics.
"Babe! I'm home", I heard. I looked uo and started smiling. I placed my guitar beside me and ran up to her.
"Finally!", I said.
She just smiled and catched me as I jumped in her arms.
"You're overreacting", she said giggling.
"How is this overreacting. We have spent every single day together for the past year or so. It makes it hard."
"Well I promise it'll never happen again, if you do me the honor of joining me on a trip tomorrow", she said putting my down.
"Where to?"
"That's a surprise. But you'll love it, I promise."
I just smiled and nodded.
"Great. It's just for a day, so don't worry about packing or anything", she said.
"I'm curious now."
"Just be patient for a little longer."
"Again."
She just laughed and walked to the kitchen.
"What's for dinner?", she asked.
I hadn't even thought about that.
"I uh.. I.."
"Don't worry, I'll cook something."
I smiled.
I walked back to the yard and grabbed my sheet music and my guitar.
"I have been writing a song", I said walking up to her.
I handed her the papers.
"Looks good. Play a bit for me", she said smiling.
The thing was, she could read music and stuff, but she was afraid to sing. So that never really happened.
I sang a part.

"That sounds really good", she said. I smiled.
I was wondering if she knew it was about her.
"Now make me some food woman, I'm hungry", I said.
She raised her eyebrow and started smiling.
"On it chief."
