One week later....

It has been a week since Takahiro's wedding, and I have yet to recover from the pain of losing him without getting the chance of confessing to him. However, I have somehow managed to stay in touch with him. Ironically it was all thanks to Misaki, who was entrusted to me by Takahiro. On a surprising turn of events I became Misaki's tutor, due to the fact that if he didn't raise his scores he would surely be denied entrance to any university. So, in order to help out Takahiro and to stay by his side, I accepted to tutor Misaki. I have only tutored him once so far, however, that one time was enough to prove that I would have a difficult time tutoring Misaki. He was unable to comprehend the most basic knowledge, therefore I would have to teach him everything from scratch. As challenging as this journey is bound to be, I already gave Takahiro my promise to take care of his beloved baby brother.

The doorbell to my penthouse rung announcing the arriving of Misaki, who was scheduled for his second tutoring session today. I reluctantly got up from my comfortable position on the couch to go open the door. I was greeted with the sight of Misaki's unhappy face. I knew that he was as reluctant as I was to meet, however similarly to myself, he would do anything for his brother. I ushered Misaki inside and let out a sigh as I closed the door that was my only escape from the torture to come.

"Okay, we are going to start from where we ended last time. Also, give me the work I assigned you last time." I instructed.

"Here." Misaki handed me the worksheet and I had to admit I was surprised to see that he had completed it.

"You can start working on the next exercise while I check this, then I'll go over anything you don't get."

Misaki nodded and got to work. After checking his work I was astonished to find that he had answered a majority of the questions correctly. I was so sure he wouldn't even have done the work, yet he did and he seemed to have actually retained what I taught him last time. For some unknown reason I was pleased to see Misaki's improvement.

"Are you sure Takahiro didn't help you with this?" I asked him.

"Of course he didn't help me, in case you have forgotten he is on his honeymoon and won't be back till tomorrow. Anyway, how did I do?" Misaki questioned.

"You got these three wrong, the rest are right. I want you to look over it and try to figure out what you did wrong." I ordered as I showed him the three problems he got wrong.

Misaki sat there staring at the paper with a look of utter concentration, concentration that I had never thought him capable of. I was lost as to why he put so much effort into learning when I was the one teaching him. I was certain that he disliked the fact that I was the one teaching him and that he had to depend on me for anything, after all he made it clear that he didn't trust me. So it puzzled me to see him working so hard, yet it also inspired me to give it my best to help him into getting accepted into a university.

"I think I know what I did wrong, I didn't use the right formula, right?" He inquired of me.

"That's right. Now redo them, but use the correct formula this time."

"Yes."

After Misaki finished, I once again checked his work and he had successfully corrected all three problems.

"You are improving, at least. It's great to know that my teaching skills aren't going to waste." I said.

"Baka, I can learn if I am taught properly." He retorted.

"Baka? Me? Who is the one who needs tutoring?" I questioned.

"Shut up." Was his brilliant comeback.

Once the session was over, Misaki started to cook dinner for the both of us. It was the arrangement that I had offered Takahiro; meals in exchange for tutoring Misaki. After all I didn't need money, but it would be nice to eat homemade dinner once in a while.

"So, which university are you aiming for?" I asked Misaki in an attempt to make conversation.

"Mitsuhashi University." He answered somewhat shyly.

"Shouldn't you aim lower, you aren't qualified to enter a university like Mitsuhashi." I told him.

"No, it has to be Mitsuhashi, because that's the university nii-chan was going to go to if he didn't have to take care of me. I want to make nii-chan's dream come true. So it has to be Mitsuhashi, because otherwise it will all be pointless."

"You want to go to Mitsuhashi for Takahiro's sake?"

"Yes, he had to give up so much for me so I feel that this is the least I could do."

"Okay, I take back what I said. You are going to Mitsuhashi University, after all with me as your tutor it would be impossible for you to fail." I said.

The truth was that I also wanted to make Takahiro happy. If Misaki being accepted into Mitsuhashi University would make Takahiro happy, then that is what I'm going to do. For some reason though I couldn't help but want to please Misaki, too. I wanted to see him genuinely smile, even if it was just once.
