{A.N.: hey. Thank you for all the reads, it really was unexpected wow. So the song Fighting.... I wrote it. I know it's not Ryan-like, but I'm not Ryan, am I? Thatd be cool tho... Anywho, tell me what you think} ~Julie

Ryan's point of view

I could hear Brendon breathing steadily, his head resting on my chest, as I grabbed my notebook. I had written a few unfinished sketches, I even did a few drawings but I only had one completed song. It was called Fighting.

I put my notebook on the floor, carefully put Brendon's head on his pillow and headed to the bathroom to get showered. Before I shut the door, I heard Brendon turn to his side as he mumble in his sleep.

"Mmhh. No. Please stay. Don't leave. Stay here. Mmh. No. Ryan."

I shut the door.

...

Brendon's point of view

I woke up to the sound of Ryan showering. He was softly humming Build God Then We'll Talk which made me smile. I stood up and walked to the kitchenette to make coffee. When I walked back to the bed, I found Ryan's notebook on the floor. I gently took it and sat on the bed. I scrolled through it and read a few sketches, beautifully written but unfinished. Suddenly, I got on a page, 'Fighting' was written at the top. I slowly read the words written, realising it was a completed, beautiful song.

Never thought it'd be that hard,
Losing faith, sinking hard
The sun may be shining
But never will I see it rising

I had so much love
Like poison spreading through my veins
But when I called your name
I was just shouting in vain

Fighting, fighting
For you, for them, for all of us
Fighting, wrestling,
For all of them who've once been lost

And I think
After all these years
Everytime I'd blink
Were sinking tears

Fighting, fighting
For all of us

Maybe the bandmaster was wrong
Calling wrong heartbeat
Since together we belong,
Warming love in summer heat

Letting it go
Make it all flow
Call my name
Honey, call me home

Fighting, fighting
For you, for them for all of us
Fighting, wrestling,
For all of them who've once been lost

Fighting, fighting
For you, for them for all of us
Fighting, wrestling,
So none of us ever gets lost.

Tears filled my eyes as I heard Ryan get out of the bathroom.
