Good Bye

Zayden
Today I'm going to get my kids from Kevin. I parked my car and got out. I walked up the stone path to my Momma Joyce's house.

I knocked out the door. I waited awhile and she opened the door.

"Hey Momma" I gave her a hug and kiss

"Hey Zayden, where the hell have you been" She slapped my arm

"I've been busy since they let me go" momma Joyce came and visited me at least twice a month, along with my dad

"Too busy to see me" She looked hurt

"I'm sorry momma" I said and kissed her cheek

"You betta come see me more often girl or next time Ima whop yo ass" She said

"Yea ma'am" I nodded "where's my babies"

"Mommy!!!" They ran though the front door

"My babies!!!" I yelled

"I miss you mimmy" they said at the same time

"Mommy misses you too" I wiped my tears.

I didn't realize how much I missed my babies til now. They mean the world to me and I feel bad because I haven't been spending time with my babies.

"Mommy why ou cwy" Khaza asked me

"Cause mommy miss you so much" I squeezed his jaws

Hey Zayden" Kevin spoke

"Hey" I said lowly

Knock
Knock

There was a bang on the door.

"I got it" momma Joyce said

Seconds later three police men tackled Kevin to the ground.

"What is going on" momma yelled

"What the Fuck, there are children here" I yelled

The fucking police are so fucking disrespectful.

***3Week's later***

"Hey babies" Kevin put his hand against the glass

"Hey daddy" the kids said

"How have y'all been" he asked

"We been good" I nodded

"That's good look I wanna start by saying, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to over react" he said with sincere eyes

"I accept and I'm so sorry that I did that because there was a chance that it's was yours" I said

"It all good ma. But I need you to know that Ima be in here for a long time" he said

My eyes started to water. Call me stupid if you want to but I still have a lot of love for Kevin, but who wouldn't have love for the father of their kids. Its sad because he is missing time with his children. I know the kids are gonna miss him so much.

"How long" I sad as a tear fell

"At the least five years" he said

"I started crying. I'm gonna miss his stupid ass and I can't raise two kids on my own.

"I know what your thinking. I talked to my momma and your dad already and they promised me to be there always"

"W-what what did you do"

"They said I was responsible for the murder of this dude named Jermery. I did some things I wasn't proud of so I need to make a few call to try to get outta here. But if I can't get outta this, please promise me that you won't give up on me or the kids" he put his hand to the glass and looked me in the eyes

"I promise Kev" I put my hand on the glass to match the placement of his hand "these tattoos still mean something to me"

The tears freely fell.

"Times up" the officer tapped Kevin on the shoulder

"Kids tell daddy goodbye" u said

"Bye daddy. I love you" the kids said at the same time.

The officer took him to the back as I grabbed the kids. We left.

When we got home, I took my sleeping kids up the stairs. After I tucked them into bed, I went to check all the Windows.

I made sure all the Windows were locked and I checked the front door, I locked it and went to the back door. Today hasn't been the vest day.

I smoked about half the pack of cigarettes before I went inside. I took a shower and went to sleep.
