Ash's Pov.

I walked into the ship.
Kanan followed.

"Kanan? Why did you come!?!" I said when I relished he was there.

"Because I could." He said with a smile.
I said,"This mission isn't important anyway...... Let's go."

"What did you say to me?" He asked.
I said,"You heard me, Kanan."
He said,"We're not leaving."

I said,"Well...... I'm not risking you again!!!"
I put my hand threw my hair.
"It's my fault as it is, Kanan. If this....... If anything else happened to you....... I don't know what I would be able to do."
I looked away from him.

"I though you where dead when Ezra didn't tell me what happened." I said.
"You don't know what I did." I said.

That's when I remembered....... the diease.

1 month earlier........

I woke up.
I rubbed my head.
My head hurts more then usual and my side, don't get me started.

"Eve, your awake."

It was Mark.

I looked around and Hera, Zeb, Sabine, Tie, Diaden, and Mark where there.

I asked,"Shouldn't you be with, Kanan? Wait, is he okay!?!"
Mark's eyes felled with tears.

Hera nodded and said,"His alright....... I wish we could saw the same for you."

"What is it? I don't care if I'm not alright, I don't care if I just have one hour to live, just tell me."

Mark held my hand.
His tears slipped down his eyes.
"Hera?"

Sabine said,"I can't do this!" She walked out.
"Hera, tell me." I said.

She put a hand on her head.
"Your dying......." She said softly.
Now, she walked out of the room.

"You really am going to make me have to tell her!" Zed said.
He put a hand on his head.

Mark put his face on my hand, the hand he was holding.
"You have a diease, Ash....... I wish there was a cure. Now I understand why they left."
He ran out.

I put a hand threw my hair.
I'm dying.......

What happened to Kanan?
What was his injury?

I asked,"Mark, what happened to Kanan?"
He slowly picked up his head looking up at me.

"His....... His blind. Maul did it." Mark said, then putting his head back down.

"His blind......."

Tears now filled my eyes.
I hugged Mark. He hugged me back.

"I won't loose you, Astrid! Not again....... not ever again."

Present.......

"Your forgetting I have to worry about you too."
A hand touched my shoulder.

Kanan's hand.

I hugged him.
There was someone behind him.

I pushed Kanan behind me.
The person took out there lightsaber.
"Nice to finally see you again, Ms. Jarrus."

"Maul......."

Where's Obi-Wan when you need him?
