Monster Inside

Ash's Pov.

I ran down the hall.
I ran in Mark's room but, he wasn't there.
"Ash?"
I looked over at Ezra.
I hugged him and said,"Hey, Ezra! I missed you. I know I promised we would hang out but something bad just happened. Do you know where Mark is?"
He said,"His in Dr. Edwards office."

I said,"Okay, thanks! I promise I'll hang out with you later."
I ran down the hall. I slammed Mr. Edward's door open.
They gave me a look.

"Jake.... Jacob Lopez." I said.

His eyes widened.

"I got to go." He said as he stood up.

Ezra's Pov.

Ash always says she's going to spend time with me but, she never does. The same thing happens pretty much with everyone now.

I sighed.

I opened my door.
Zeb wasn't there. I climbed up to my old bunk.
I layed down and closed my eyes.

"Feels good to be home again, Ezra?"

I opened one of my eyes and looked at Idra.
I closed my eye again and said,"Of course it is. I missed it."
"I did too. Have you seen Diaden?" She asked.
I answered,"I'm sorry but, nope."
She sighed.
I opened my eyes and looked at her.
She has really began to feel like a sister to me even though I know she doesn't feel the same. She's the only one who seems like they care about me anymore.
Ash ran in. She looked at Idra. "What happened?" I asked.

"It's Diaden....."

Idra's eyes widened.
"Where is he!?! What happened!?!" Idra asked, sounding more like a yell.
"Let me just say.... it was Maul." Ash said.
Idra asked,"Is he okay?"
"Maul caused a..... white cells to vanish when he sliced his side...... he..... he has it." Ash said.

"What does he have, Ash?" Idra said, trying to be calm.

"He has the diease I have."

Mark's Pov.

"Is he fine?" I asked, Dr. Edwards.
He nodded and answered,"Besides the diease..... his fine." I put my hand through my hair.

I looked at Diaden.

He can't have it.
Wait....

The quess was it was Maul.
Maul doesn't know about him. I couldn't be him.
What if it was....
It can't!

No way, Jacob could've done this.
Could he?
It makes sense. He wants Ash and he wants me to have pain. Diaden is my most loyal friend..... and he just got in the middle of it.

"Let me know when he wakes up." I said.

I walked out as Idra pasted me.

Ash looked at me. She sighed.
I asked,"Do you think Jacob could have done this?"
She nodded.
I hugged her and she hugged me back.
"This is my fault, Mark. Maybe he would be alive if I had...."
"Stop blaming yourself!" I cut her off holding her cheeks.
"He wants Kanan." She said.
I asked,"Why?" She answered,"His a bounty hunter. His working for the Empire."

"Astrid, listen to me. He will not get near your brother. I know him and if you get in his way he'll.... he would never kill you. If I got in the way the that would be a different story." I said.
She nodded and said,"I know. What if he hurts him?"
I gave her a look and said,"You won't allow that." She nodded.
"I can't believe he was pulled into this, Mark." I said.
I hugged her and said,"I know..... I know."

When I see this Jacob Lopez again his going to die.
Not a fast death.
A slow one so he knows the pain he put us through.

Ash hugged me tighter probably trying to keep tears from falling out of her eyes.

I was crying myself.

5 years earlier.....

"Ash, run!" I yelled.
She grabbed my hand and pulled me back with her as we ran.
"I'm not leaving you!" She yelled at me.

We ran outside the buliding onto the planet of Mustafar.
Ash hated that place, I just don't know why.

She froze as we where close to an edge.
I looked back to see Jacob.
Ash looked back at him as well.

"Well, Mark.... You should just hand her over." He said.
I said,"Leave her alone! She doesn't want to be with you!" I put my arm in front of her.
"You'll get her over my dead body." I said, turning on my lightsaber.
He smiled and said,"Fine."
He turned on his. Ash turned on hers.
She said,"Hurt him and I will hurt you."
She swang at him. He moved away and blocked it. She swang at him as he swang back. She kicked him back in his face. I swang at his side. It sliced him slightly. Ash kicked him again pushing him off the platform.
She gasped.
She took a step back.

"I killed him...." She said.

I shook my head and said,"He was going to kill one of us. It's okay, Astrid."
She hugged me.
I hugged her back a little tighter.

Present....

"What are we going to do about him now?" Ash asked.
I said,"Well...... He wants Kanan so I think it will take a while unless we kill him."
She said,"No, No, No. If we don't have to kill him we don't."

I said,"He gave Diaden that diease. I'm not letting him get away this time." She gave me a look. "Are you feeling okay?" She asked. I said,"I'm fine!" She flenched leaning back on the wall. She said,"He took something from both of us but, we shouldn't kill him if we don't have to!"

"Don't give me that crap, Ash. You wouldn't be saying this about Maul. Am I right!?!" I yelled.
"Mark, your starting to creep me out." She said.
"I'm creeping you out, Ash." I said.

I grabbed her wrist as she tried to open the door.

"Mark, stop!" She said.

My grip grew tighter.

"Your hurting me! Mark, stop please!" She yelled.

I felt my grip grow tighter.

"Mathew, stop!!!"

I released my grip as I knowest what was happening.
"Astrid..... I didn't...."

"Mathew, I just need to be alone." She said, backing away.
I looked down at my hands then back up at her.
"Astrid, I'm sorry! I didn't know!" I said.
She nodded and said,"I know. I just need a moment."
She walked out.
What did I do?
I punched my wall then sat on my bed.
I put my hands on my head.

I need to calm down now.
I hurt Astrid.

I pushed it this time.

I need help.

I can't hurt her.
