"Keiko-chan~, let's hang out today!"

I gripped my cellphone, a little bit surprised to hear his sudden invitation in this early morning. "I-I'm sorry, Izaya-kun. I have a plan today."

"Plan? What plan?" From the other side, Izaya seemed to be disappointed hearing my answer. I could imagine he was frowning.

"I have to go with-" suddenly I stopped. Do I have to tell Shizuo's name?

"With who?" Izaya asked again. "Shinra?"

"Ehm..."

"Don't tell me..." Izaya slowed down his mouth pace, starting to get suspicious. "Shizu-chan?"

I was in dilemma between I had to lie but I couldn't lie to him, so there was no word coming out from my mouth.

"You're going to hang out with that monster? Keiko-chan, are you losing your mind?" Izaya exclaimed.

"I'm not going to hang out with him." I corrected.

"Then, what? It's still counted as hang out, right? You're going to somewhere with him, right?"

I nodded, but then I realized he wouldn't be able to see me. As the replacement, I cleared my throat. "I'm sorry, Izaya-kun. I'll spare my time for you one day."

Izaya whined in disappointment, something that he wouldn't do back in middle school. "Fine, then. Be careful on your way, Keiko-chan." And then, he closed his line, creating a beep sound from across. I hanged up my cellphone and sighed.

Suddenly, I received a message coming from my phone. I quickly flipped open it and read it.

Shizuo had already been in the park. I immediately flipped the phone and stood in front of the mirror to check my appearance. I wore something simple. A long-sleeved black blouse with a knee-length black skirt and a pair of brown shoes.

We were planning to go to Azami's grave so I decided to wear all black.

Azami's grave... It still sounded absurd to me. How could she died after not hearing her news for 3 years?

It was such a shame that I hadn't had her memories in my room. The presents that she gave me on my birthday had gone to I didn't know where. If I'd known that she would gone away forever, I would cherish her things so much that I would keep inside a box.

I realized something dropped on my hand. Something wet and small.

I let my tears dropped on my hand. I pressed my lips together so I wouldn't create any noises that would attract my mother downstairs. She had a day off.

"Keiko-chan, your friend had just arrived!"

I wiped my tears, lifting my glasses a bit and put in back. I took my phone and went downstairs.

Shizuo had already on my living room. He sat on a red long couch. I was captivated by his looking. It was the first time I saw him wearing other than school uniform. He wore a black shirt and black pants. He looked less scary than I usually looked him in school.

Shizuo stood right away as he saw my coming. "You're ready?" He asked. I nodded.

"Mom, I have to go." I said to my mom. But before she said a word, she pulled me into her hug as she patted my back.

"Send my gratitude to Azami, okay? I miss her so much." She said. I nodded.

And then, I left my house to go to the graveyard with Shizuo. We walked first before we went to the bus stop and rode a bus to there.

I didn't like walking beside Shizuo. He was too quiet that I felt uncomfortable somehow. The tension was too strong. I rather be alongside Izaya than him.
