It felt like yesterday, but a season had passed since I turned into a high school student. Summer had entered, striking us with its hot wave. I was on the outside for around ten minutes only but sweats had been pouring from my skin with no mercy. I wiped it. This morning was hotter than ever.

Besides me, the person seemed didn't bother by the sun strike. He hummed cheerfully as he skipped. Truthfully, I became irritated by his happy mood.

"Why are you so happy today?" I asked Izaya.

"Nothing~" he answered slyly. I wished the old Izaya came back, replacing his new one.

"I'm tired," I complained, to the sun, to the hot wave, and to the world.

"It's still morning, Keiko-chan."

"Summer is coming, so is the midterm exam." I continued. "I'm too lazy to study."

"I thought you're a diligent student."

"That was a long time ago. The older you are, the lazier you are."

"Really? You just barely went in high school. Well, at least you still came to class regularly." Izaya put both of his hand behind his head, leaning back. I glanced at him.

"You shouldn't skip often." I scolded him. "And what are you doing at that time?"

"Business." I rolled my eyes. He's been doing that since middle school. I hoped he didn't make any trouble just like three years ago.

No, he's still making a trouble. Remember when he showed you a fight between two sides? He clearly said that he's the one who caused that and he loved that.

What if he spent his free time to do all that kind of trouble?

Izaya, what will you become in the future?

"This year summer is so hot." Izaya jumped on my back, startling me. I yelped in surprise. His strong arms wrapped my neck from behind, halting my steps and so were his.

"Get off me, Izaya."

"You become much colder than before, Keiko-chan. Where's Keiko-chan who will always believe me even though I'm doing wrong?" he pouted.

I blushed. "Izaya, that was a long time ago. I still believe in you, but less than before." I showed a small gap between my index finger and my thumb. He pouted.

"That's too bad since I believe in Keiko-chan."

"You believe in me?" I turned back a little. The distance between our faces was getting smaller. I tried to stay focus by staring at his two eyes.

His breath. I could feel his breath.

"Why would I show you what I've been doing if I don't believe in you?" He said huskily. He showed a small smile, looking at me deeply. I blushed, turning my head around immediately.

As if he hadn't done teasing my heartbeat, he blew into my right ear from behind, jumping me. I yelped. My face went redder. "Stop it, Izaya!"

"Well, well, well, what a nice morning you two have."

An interrupting voice coming from the right us stole our attention. Izaya released his hug as he walked back. "Shinra..."

"Good morning, Izaya, Keiko! Don't you get excited about this new season?" Shinra showed off his wide grin as he waved his hand to us energetically. I raised my eyebrows.

"Did something happen between you and your girlfriend, Shinra?" I questioned his suspicious cheerfulness, just like Izaya. Why was everyone so happy on the first day at school in summer?
