Rumours

You should only believe half of what you see,
And none of what you hear.
So why is it some people
Hear a story and turn into gullible wrecks?
Is it so hard to realise that maybe,
Just maybe,
What you think is a lie.
But of course you heard it.
From a friend or on the news.
So you stupidly believe
The false accusations you're spooned.
Is it so hard just to stop
And listen.
To realise the truth is not there.
That they're lies you are spittin'
Because rumours can hurt.
They can injure and kill.
And because you believe them.
Blood might be spilt.

Do you want that?
A life to fade because a rumour is spread.
Lies spread like wildfire
Enough said.

Find the truth.
Or don't open your trap of a speaker.
Because these lies you fuel.
Just make truths weaker.
