Funny thing Coffee
Funny thing tea,
But coffee is more romanticised,
Like going out with me?
Typical! How cliché,
That a first date is to be spent,
Seen in the movies, idealised much,
Wonder where letter writing went.
But the warmth is the idea,
To sit at a table for two.
The feel of the whole world being busy,
And the focus me and you.
But why not go and walk.
Feel the cold envelop us both,
Hold hands against the chilly winds,
See how long we cope.
Because then we know
That its the cold we don't mind
Just as long as its me and you,
To the elements we are blind.
