Epiphany

They say when you are single, all you see are happy couples.
But when half a couple you still see the same.
Does that make sense that there's no difference?
To me I think not.
Shouldn't you see the opposite, like single humans,
And wish upon them the love you give,
And receive. The love you take and return?
But no, instead they say you see more couples like yourself,
An understanding of the hearts they share.
That beat in one or some other form of need.
Strange isn't it? How we notice these things.
And they change and evolve as we do.
So what if you found the one you were too scared to fish for,
Would you notice the want in people?
What about the one you felt was perfect.
Would you suddenly see the world as one full of beauty?
I know I see changes in peoples behaviour,
Because I know there is a difference in my own,
But at the end of the day its not them that changes,
They're always there.
Its just about time I opened my eyes to something new.
