Set it all on fire

When two meet to find they have friction,
Such as that of match and a rock,
The tales they tell are never ending,
With them, time harbours no clock.

But start a fire between them both,
And they constantly snake by the flames,
Even if you add fuel for it to burn brighter,
They'll beat it without desired shame.

Neither will match the beauty of the fire,
But both with match its heat,
Its beauty just façade to all its passion,
Whilst the two battle it to defeat.

When the fire goes out, cold fills the space,
Both can't help but laugh and entwine.
Because the cold means nothing to them,
As long as they're side by side.

They say having friction isn't good in heart,
But when you see its friction best calm,
it sparks the relation when close,
And stays dormant when afar.

So a match and a rock won't warp
When away, distance keeping them sane,
But when together heat and sparks fly,
Because their affects, reflect both ways.
