Always on guard,
That's how I've been.
Keeping you afar, keeping space between.
Always fighting back,
Walls built high,
My heart on track, keeping emotion dry.
I raise my hands,
To you I'm captive,
Can't stand, keeping love and lust active.
I surrender now,
To you of course,
Don't know how, love a source.
I could say,
That I'm yours,
Make me stay, please be sure.
Well there you go,
I gave it to you,
No longer cold, but my heart anew.
Press closer please,
Hold me tighter,
You have my years, no longer a fighter.
Weak and small,
Yet strong and empowered,
Lips coil, hearts soar, all within the hour.
Feelings last day long,
Sensing you still close,
My love fueled with song, memories nose to nose.
Touching ones mouth,
Remembering each dance,
Show me how, you gave me the chance.
To give in and surrender.
