38 - Old Friend

"Y/n!" A tiny voice yelled before I was tackled to the ground.

"Shawn, get off me!" I giggled as I tried to push him off.

"Guess whose tooth fell off today!"

"Oh my gosh! Really?!"

"Yeah, see?"

He lifted his upper lip with his finger as he opened his mouth to show me the missing tooth. I stared at him in awe. That must have hurt.

"Was it painful?" I asked him.

"A little but I'm brave enough. Mommy and daddy also gave me a popsicle after." He said proudly.

"Y/n!" I heard my mom call from the other side of the park.

"Aww. Bye king! I have to go." I said, pouting.

"I'll see you tomorrow then."

"I won't be-"

"There you are. We have to go back home." My mom said once she got to the place where I was. "Say goodbye to Shawn."

"Uh... Bye Shawn." I muttered.

"Bye y/n." He said, giving me a toothy grin.

He engulfed me into a bear hug and kissed my cheek before letting go of me. I tried so hard not to cry in front if him. Once we got to the car, I started crying a little bit.

"Y/n, what's wrong sweetie?" Mom asked me as I sobbed into my sleeve.

"I-I'm g-gonna mi-iss h-him." I cried harder, staring out the window to see him playing on the swings.

I watched silently as my classmates talked about an up coming concert that will be held next week. I don't get what's so special about this. If it were a My Chemical Romance reunion concert, I would probably join them in fangirling but it ends up to be another mainstream pop singer. I give up on this generation's music taste. Like, COME ON! They're so blinded by pop culture that they don't even know who Kurt Cobain is! (Most people in my school don't so please don't find this offensive)

"Y/n! Y/n! I have a favor to ask you!" My best friend said as she ran over to me.

"What is it this time?" I asked, slamming my locker door shut.
