I couldn't help but smile as I looked down on my phone. Just the simple "that'smygirl" with a heart emoji he commented on my recent was enough to make me smile wide enough to make the Joker jealous. God, I'm too in love with this guy.
"Hey kid." Shawn said, sitting beside me on the window seat.
"Hey Shawn." I said, smiling up to him before continuing to scroll down my feed on Instagram.
"What's up? You've been smiling down on your phone a lot lately. I definitely know it's not because of your friends since there's something in your eyes that proves it."
"It's nothing, Shawn."
"Y/n, you're my baby sister. Of course I would know when something's up."
"I'm not your baby sister, Shawn. And jeez! You're acting as if I'm younger than Aaliyah."
"Okay fine! You're my not so little sister. Better?"
"You make me sound as if I'm fatter than I really am."
"Y/N! Spill!"
I chuckled as I tucked my crossed legs under me as he leaned back against one of the pillows. I turned my phone off before putting it on the coffee table I placed near the seat. He looked at me expectantly.
"I may or may not be seeing someone." I muttered.
"You're what?! Who?" He exclaimed.
I was expecting him to freak out and get mad at me but so far, he actually seems excited for me. He looks as if he really wants to find out information about my love life. I'm literally having a conversation with my older brother that I didn't expect at all since I thought it would be easier to tell an older sister if I had one.
"Calm down, Pete!" I laughed as he made a face at me.
"Pete?"
"Short for Peter. Unless you want me to call you Raul."
"You're intentionally straying away from the topic, aren't you?"
"Maybe."
"Who is he? Where did you meet? How long have you two been together? How old is he? Does he have a criminal record? Is he at least cute?"
"Met him at a Press Play show that y/bff/n dragged me to last year and after the meet and greet, he gave me his number. Ever since then, we've been talking to each other and meeting up whenever he's not busy. You don't know since you're away most of the time. We just became a couple last January. He's 18, just two months older than you. He's more than cute but that's just a bonus to how amazing he really is. And no, he does not have a criminal record."
