After the whole incident with Shawn, it was the only thing being talked about in Hogwarts. It was honestly a nice change from constantly hearing about Harry Potter's latest quest, the death of a good friend of mine, Cedric Digory the year prior, and the return of Voldemort. It was, however, very irritating when some people go up to me and ask about what happened. Some even made their own stories of how and why it happened. I understand that nobody expected me to react in such a way as I was the "innocent" Slytherin but they had no right to question me about why I snapped.

"Y/n! Is it true that you and Shawn were dating and you found out he was cheating on you? Is that why you beat him up?" An annoying second year student asked, who somehow reminded me of Pansy when we first met.

"Were you there?" I asked calmly.

"No."

"Then shut the fuck up before I turn you into a blasted pig! I'm already late as it is!"

She immediately ran away in fear as I raised my voice towards her. I was already in an awful mood yet these people seem to not get it through their thick skulls that not everything they hear is true unless you were a firsthand witness to what really happened. I grumbled under my breath, y/bff/n giving me a sad smile as she walked beside me.

"You okay?" She asked, placing a hand on my shoulder comfortingly.

"Peachy." I muttered with a sarcastic grin.

"You know, some of them only say those things to get a reaction out of you. It's not every day that the sweetheart of Slytherin snaps."

"It's just obnoxious how they can create conclusions without knowing the true story."

"Well, I did try to warn you about him, y/n. Gryffindor boys are no good."

"That Gryffindor boy just happened to make me feel like I was accepted... Only for it to come crashing down and ruin me."

"It's our free period and I just happen to have a box of chocolate frogs up in the dorm if you want to just cry and binge on chocolate for an hour."

"Can we please?"

She chuckled before we made our way to the Slytherin common room. We ran up the stairs and went straight to the dorm room. She went over to her trunk and dug up two packs of chocolate frogs, throwing me one as she opened the other. As I glanced over my bed, I could not help but freeze once I saw the folded parchment on my pillow with my name neatly written on it. I slowly walked towards it and carefully opened it.

"Love,

Meet me at the Room of Requirements. Please let me explain. I'm really sorry. I love you.

-S"

"Who's that from?" Y/bff/n asked, taking a bite from the chocolate.

"Him." I replied shakily. "He wants to meet me at the Room of Requirements."

"You should go."

I shot her a look which made her put her hands up in surrender. "I'm just saying, maybe that way, you can both talk this through and officially end it. It's better than forcing yourself to stay away from him and cry your eyes out when you get to the dorm."

"We only broke up last night." I reminded. "Last night was the only time I cried myself to sleep because of him."

"It's for the best, y/n. Come on."

She stood up from her position on the floor and held onto my arm, pulling me with her. I followed her, unwillingly, protesting as we walked up to the seventh floor. Her grip on my wrist was too tight for me to escape and run back to the dorm. Once we reached the wall, I could not help but groan as she opened it and tried to push me in.
