Brand New Looks, Brand New Attitude

Chapter 15- The wedding day

Today was my moms wedding, and five days away from the move.

Today was also the day I would tell hunter about me moving.

And to say I was nervous was underestimating how scared I was.

I really like Hunter. Maybe even love him....

"Kelly?" my moms voice startled me. I looked up at her in her wedding dress and smiled.

"You look beautiful mum." I said getting up.

A few day ago I thought it wasn't fair to my mom to ignore her.

Her new soon to be husband was actually really nice and treats my mom like a princess.

"Can you do my makeup?" she asked me shyly.

"I would love you mother."

I got up off of the chair and got out all my makeup and started to do her makeup.

Two hours later I finished her hair, makeup and found the perfect necklace.




"Kelly we have only two.... Oh my goodness Mrs. Riyne you look like a goddess." Allessa said as she walked into my room.

"Thank you honey." my mom said.

"Well honey you and Allesa have to get ready. you have two hours. i'll go so you guys can get ready. she said leaving my room.

The wedding was taking place at the local church so my makeup and dress had to be elegant but nice.

"Okay. You first Allessa. I said pushing her dress into her chest.

"Go get dressed." I said.

"Go get dressed." she said in a squeaky voice trying to imitate me.

I chuckled while getting dressed into my dress.

My dress was a light gray, with layers at the bust area, while the rest proofed out a bit, going to my knees.

The puffy part is a light gray matching the top, but has sparkles near the bottom.

"You look so pretty."

I turned to see Allessa walking out of the bathroom wearing her dress.

Her dress was almost the same as mine but hers was a light pink.

"So do you." I said smiling at her.

"Now sit." I said motioning to the chair.

She sat and I got to work.

I put on simple eyeliner and a light amount of light pink eyeshadow. I also applied some blush and some light pink lipstick.

"Done." I said looking the clock.
It only took me 40 minutes to get her ready.

"You can wear anyone of my jewellery's." I said going to work on my makeup.

I put a winged eyeliner with a silver eyeshadow as well as some light blush and put on some light pink lipstick.

I then curled my hair while Allessa straitened hers.

"Done." I said stepping back.

"Done too." Allessa said. we both smiled at each other.

I looked at the time.

"We should go now."

The wedding starts at 4:00 and it was 3:00.

Since I'm part of the family and Allessa is getting a drive from us we had to go early.

"Girls? You guys ready?" My mom asked poking her head into my door.

We looked at each other and smiled.

"Yep." we said together.









"You may now kiss the bride."

Everyone clapped and cheered as they kissed.

I looked beside to where Hunter sat beside me.

I squeezed his hand and smiled at him.

"Time to go to the reception area."






Everyone moved to the part area out back. there was a DJ and a dance floor and a bunch of food.


We've all been dancing for about an hour until I knew I had to tell Hunter.

"Hunter can we talk?" I asked nervously.

He looked at me worriedly and nodded.

I grabbed his hand leading him away from the music and everyone to a nearby fountain.


"Is everything okay?" he asked.

"Yeah. Yeah it is. Everything's perfect. Which makes this even harder."

I stared at him and took a deep breath.

"Hunter I'm moving."

I stared at him waiting for a response.

"Where?" he said whipping his head to look at me.

"New York." I said just over a whisper.

"AND WHEN WERE YOU GOING TO TELL ME KELLY!" He said screaming.

"I don't know..." I said shying away from him.

"LOOK AT ME!" he yelled. I turned my head father away.

"I SAID LOOK AT ME GOD DAMIT!" He said grabbing my arm with such force that I started to cry.

"Hunter your hurting me!" I said.

His face went from full of anger to blank then to worried and sad.

"I'm so sorry Kelly. He said trying to hold my hand.

I backed away with fright in my eyes.

I've never seen him to angry. What happened to Hunter right then.

"Kelly listen to me I'm sor...."

"Leave." I said struggling not to cry.

"What?" He asked surprised and hurt in his voice.

"Leave."

He just stood there.

"NOW!" I shouted. He just nodded.

He came towards me one more time and placed something beside me on the fountains edge.

"Bye Kelly." he said.

As soon as her was a few meters away I opened the small box and let out a whimper.

It was a heart locket with a picture of Hunter and I in it. Engraved on the back it said

'To Kelly. I love you. From Hunter.'

I looked to were Hinter was at the other side of the road walking towards his house.

"I love you too." I said while taking the necklace and throwing it into the fountain.


"Goodbye Hunter." I said before walking back to the party, but stopping once to see Hunter staring at the fountain.

"Goodbye Kelly."
