Chapter 5- Let's Go Eevee!

A\N Merry Christmas! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Also I didn't mean to hurt poor Eevee but it'll be ok.

By the next morning, you and Hau went your separate way. Hau said he'd return Salandit to its home and then catch up later. You and your Pokemon  passed route 7 and onto route 8. The whole route looked like one long road but the ocean breeze that came from nearby was nice. Eevee finally got some training in, more like play, and it turned out to be a determined fighter. You wondered what you wanted Eevee to evolve into or if Eevee wanted to evolve at all. Maybe some day. As you walked down route 8, you saw a weird white small building. Curious, you looked through the side window and saw these people dressed in white. You weren't sure what they were doing but you guessed it was for some sort of research. As you moved along, you had some battles with other trainers and encountered new Pokemon. You saw Trumbeaks flying and Stufful playing around with others. The Stufful were so adorable. You wished you could catch one, but from what you heard about Bewear...you weren't quite sure you wanted one. Not that you weren't up to train one. It just didn't sound so appealing to you.

Halfway through the route, you came across an interesting place. It was a small area with just a mobile home, but the interesting thing was that the man said he revives Pokemon from fossils. The nice man showed you ancient Pokemon that you thought to be long gone like Cranidos and Shieldon. They were cute but you knew they evolved into powerful Pokemon. You offered to help  care of the Pokemon for the afternoon, Eevee was thrilled to bits. After a while, you were worried that you wouldn't make it back to Royal Avenue before night fall. You told the man that you had to leave before it got too late. He said you that there was a hotel up ahead not too far. You were relieved. When you finished, you said good bye to the man and his ancient Pokemon. Before you left, the man gave you soothe bell for Eevee to hold. You took the bell and tired it around Eevee's neck. Eevee jumped around with joy. By the time you got to the hotel, the sun began to set. You rented out a room for the night.

Once you got inside your room, you heard your stomach growl. It was definitely time for some dinner. You invited everyone out of their pokeballs and made some dinner. After, you opened up the window for some fresh air and turned on the TV. Torracat curled up on the bed. Eevee sat in your lap. Yungoos hid under the bed and Mudsbray sat next to you. As you were watching a battle competition, something you heard outside grabbed your attention. "Nothing's going right Null. What do I do? I can't go back home" a voice said. You quietly walked up to the window to peak outside. You saw Gladion walk up to the room next to you with Null at his side. What was he doing here? Did he have the same idea? As you looked at Gladion, you felt a gaze on you. Null was watching you, curiously. Alarmed, you fell backwards on your butt. "Null its ok. We'll just have a neighbor for tonight. Don't worry", you barely heard Gladion say. You heard the door open and close afterwards. The way Gladion talked to his Null was so gentle. He must be very close to it. On the outside Gladion looked like someone who was cold and rude. But instances, he was kind and gentle. Though you had a feeling that he didn't show his soft side to anyone. Something must be bothering him. You wanted to go knock on the door, but you felt like he wouldn't open it. You looked at the clock and decided to go to bed a little early. The next trial was just around the corner.

Eevee woke you up early the next morning. You looked around and saw that everyone was still sleeping around the room. There was something you needed to get from the Pokemon center. Good thing it was close by. You picked up Eevee and walked towards the door, "I'll be right back everyone", you whispered as you left the room. You walked over to the Pokemon Center that was right next to the hotel's office. You got what you needed and left to go back to your room. "Give me back my Pokemon!" you head a little kid cry. You saw two mean bullies laughing and holding a Pokeball in their hands, "Jump for it squirt" one of them said. You couldn't stand the sight. Without thinking you walked up to the bullies,"Hey give him back his Pokemon" you demanded. The bullies look at you," Make me shorty" the bully teased. You got angry and tried to reach for the Pokeball and with some luck you grabbed it. You gave the kid his pokeball back," Thank you miss" the boy said and ran off. As you looked back at the bullies you received a punch in the face. You fell backwards. You weren't sure what just happened, "That's for getting in the way. Say Eevee is pretty rare. We'll just have to take it instead" the bullies said. No way. They weren't gonna take Eevee from you. You reached for your pokeballs but you forgot they were in your room. The only Pokemon you had on you was Eevee. You weren't sure if Eevee was ready for such a battle, but you had to try. You rubbed the bruise on your face in pain "You want Eevee. You'll have to battle for it", you told them. The bullies looked at each other, "You're on loser" one said. Eevee looked at you, worried. You sucked up the pain, which made Eevee  determined to win the battle. The bully called out his Gumshoo. If that was Yungoo's evolution, then this battle wasn't going to be easy. "Hey why don't you leave her alone", you heard a voice say. You turned to see Gladion walk up beside you. You were surprised. Eevee seemed to be happy to see him. "Get out of here emo. The girl already agreed to battle", the bully said. You looked at Gladion and he looked at you. He knew you were scared and you were. Your head was still scrambled from the hit. What if Eevee loses? You didn't want to lose Eevee. "It will be ok", Gladion reassured you. He seemed so sure and if he was sure then why were you so scared in the first place? You nodded and gained back your confidence. If you can beat those trial, then you can win this battle. "Let's show them what we got Eevee!" you said confident. Eevee felt your confidence which help boosts its determination. 

The bullies snickered, "You'll never win with such a weak Pokemon. Gumshoo show them your Crunch" the bully commanded. Gumshoo snarled and ran up to Eevee ,"Eevee try and dodge it" you said. Gumshoo lunged at Eevee for a bite, but Eevee barely dodged it. "That's just a lucky dodge. Gumshoo again and don't miss. Do whatever you have to" the bully told it. You were worried about Eevee. You didn't want it to get injured. "Eevee just dodge its attacks", you said. Gumshoo lunged at Eevee and tried to bite it again. Eevee was trying it's best to dodge the attacks, but it was getting tired from dodging again and again. Gumshoo finally caught up to Eevee and snagged its ear between its jaws. Eevee cried in pain. You panicked, "Eevee!" you cried. Gumshoo threw Eevee to the side. You tried to run to Eevee but the Gumshoos blocked your way. The Pokemon snarled at you. Eevee was just a baby, its first battle shouldn't have been like this. You felt a hand on your shoulder, "I'll win your Eevee back for you" Gladion said. For some reason he had a smirk on his face. He would win Eevee back for you? But you weren't even friends. Maybe seeing this upset him. Whatever the case was, you were grateful. "You want Eevee, you'll have to battle me too. Or are you scared to lose", Gladion mocked. The second bully stepped up, "Sure I'll take you on emo boy" he said. You wanted to get to Eevee, but the Gumshoos still blocked the way as if to make sure it claimed its prize. The second bully sent out his Salandit and Gladion sent out Null. Null was strong. You just hoped it was strong enough to take on the bully.
