Chapter 30 The Sun and Moon Flute

The port on Poni Island was nice and breezy. It was a nice place, only if you could enjoy it. Everything happened so quickly and now he was gone, back to the Aether Paradise. You had no way to go back there and you weren't sure if you could. Maybe this mission with Lillie will help you cope with your sadness. As long as you kept your mind busy, you should be fine. Right?

You explored the port and asked around for some information. You and Lillie eventually came across the chief, who informed you that if you were looking for the Kahuna, that you should go to Hapu's place. Hapu certainly gets around quick, doesn't she? Hopefully Hapu would be able to take us to the island's Kahuna. We must find the Sun and Moon flute, if we are to summon the legendary beasts and save Nebby and Lusamine.

The Poni Wilds was certainly filled with its own Pokemon inhabitants, just like the other island. Each island was different. But that's what made the journey special. The temperature was warm and a bit humid. The vegetation wasn't very green and was mostly dry and pale. There was still green plants, mostly the ones that thrived in Savannah- like conditions. When you looked up, you saw a huge cliffs and mountains. Just what lied within them? Rare Pokemon or other things? Would you have to make the trip up the mountain? Hopefully not. But if you did, you would try your best.

After some walking through the humid Poni Wilds, you and Lillie made your way to the only house standing in the area. You could tell the house was kind of old but it looked stable and enduring to the hot conditions here on the island. As you came up to the front, a huge Mudsdale came around from the back corner. The Pokemon seemed to recognize you, no doubt it was Hapu's Mudsdale. Lillie was happy to see Musdale. She gave it a good pat on the bridge of its nose, which Mudsdale seemed to enjoy. It wasn't long until Hapu came walking out the front door to greet you and Lillie. "It's been awhile you two", Hapu greeted. Hapu's attention turned to Lillie, "Say you look different Lillie. Like your about to tackle a huge task of some sort" she told her. Lillie nodded, "I am on a huge task and I'm going to the very end. This is what I call my Z powered form" she said. Hapu smiled seeing Lillie's confidence. It was nice to see a friendly face. "So Hapu do you mind taking us to the Kahuna?" Lillie asked. Hapu shook her head, "Actually, we don't have one here on Poni" she said. You and Lillie were shocked. Well things just came to a complete stop. Lillie turned to you, "What are we going to do (Y\N)?" she asked a bit worried. Hapu thought for a moment, "You know what, maybe you two should come visit the Tapu's shrine with me. We might be able to figure something out" Hapu suggested. Sounds like a good idea, not like you had any ideas at the moment. You and Lillie took up Hapu's offer and all went to Tapu Fini's Shrine.

The path to the shrine was certainly a small trek. The path was all rocky, with barely any greenery. But it wasn't as hard as you thought it be. Once at the entrance, Hapu insisted she go inside first. She said she needed some time alone. You wanted to know why she wanted to go in before you and Lillie, but you respected her privacy. You, Lillie and Hapu's Mudsdale waited some time at the entrance, just talking and passing the time. It felt like forever since Hapu went in there. Was she alright? Something also seemed to be on Mudsdale's mind. Perhaps it missed Hapu or wanted to see if everything was ok. You looked at Lillie, "We should go check on her, for Mudsdale" you told her. Mudsdale snorted in agreement. "You're right. Hapu's been in there awhile", Lillie said. You and Lillie made your way through the maze and into the room with the shine. Up top, Hapu was seen kneeling down. She then stood up and turned her attention to you two, "Sorry I took so long. I didn't mean to worry ya'll " she apologized. Something suddenly felt different about Hapu. Like there was some sort of glow. "Is everything all right Hapu? Where you talking with the Tapu?" Lillie asked. Hapu nodded, "I was. It was a very important conversation. You two are the first to witness the making of the new Poni Island Kahuna" she announced. Well no wonder she was taking so long. Hapu's the new Kahuna. You never though you would see someone gain the title. Hapu must be proud. Lillie rejoiced, "I'm so happy for you Hapu. Now may I ask the Kahuna for guidance?" she asked. Hapu smiled, "Of course you can. Let's make our way back to the port. I know just the man to help you two" she told us.
