Chapter 13- Exploring Malie City

A\N This might be the shortest chapter at 900+ words. I'm saving the good ideas for other chapters ;) Also, what should Nebby become? Lunala or Solgaleo? Or should it involve both legendries? Another thing, should any other of your Pokemon evolve? Eevee? Torracat? Yungoos? Please let me know in the comments.

Mrs. Wicke made sure we made it safe to Ula'ula Island. You and Hau got off the boat and waved goodbye to her. She really was a nice lady.

 Malie City was a beautiful city. You really enjoyed its eastern influenced design, it was simply wonderful. You took a look at all the bamboo everywhere, perhaps bamboo grew on this island. Eevee seemed excited and was ready to explore. You were just ready to see the new sights. After visiting the Pokemon center, you just happened to run into Lillie. It has been awhile since you last saw her, "(Y\N). Hau. It's nice to see that you two made it to Ula'ula" she greeted. "Since when did you get here Lillie?" you asked. "Not too long ago. I thought I should wait here until you two came" she told you. Hau stretched out a bit, "Well I'm going to go check out the city. I'll catch you two later" he said before running off. Probably to find the closest malasada shop. "Say (Y\N), I heard there was a library here in Malie City. Want to check it out with me?" Lillie asked. They have a library here? Cool. "I'd love to check it out with you" you told her. She smiled and you could hear Nebby moving around in her bag happy as well, "Alright let go then. The library should be around here somewhere" she said.

After walking past many shops, that you so badly wanted to go into, you and Lillie finally managed to find the library. The inside was so spacious and full of books, "I'm not sure what the book is called. But Professor Burnett said theres an old book that contains myth and legends. Perhaps something about Nebby can be found in it" Lillie told you as you continued to look around. You and Lille walked upstairs, still looking for the book. A young girl approached, " I overheard you two were looking for a book. I think I know just the book" she told us. The girl had short curled hair and ghostly colored eyes and a dark purple dress. We followed her and sat down at a table. The girl pulled out a book and set it on the table, "This is my father's book. It's called the Light of Alola. I'm Acerole by the way" she introduced herself. You and Lillie introduced yourselves as well, "Yes this was just the book I was looking for" Lillie told her. Lillie opened the book, "I'll read it aloud" she said. Lille continued to read about the myths and legends of Alola. There was a beast of the sun and a beast of moon. The beasts shared a connection with the Tapus. After reading for quite some time," (Y\N) you can go if you like. I think I'm going to stay here and continue to read for a while" Lillie told you. You nodded and left her in the company of Nebby and Acerole. You took this opportunity to finally look at some shops. After you were satisfied, it was off to the Malie Gardens.

Malie Gardens was decorated with the same eastern influence as the city. There were bridges that stretched over small bodies of water and bamboo shoots all around. It was nice, peaceful and certainly a good place to walk around to enjoy the beauty scenery. You set Eevee down so that it could skip around. You sat down in the grass and watched Eevee explore its surroundings. The sounds of the rushing water and the nearby cries of the poliwags, put you into a state of ease. You lied down on your back and admired the soft grass on your skin. You very much wanted to make a snow angel or in this case a grass angel. Exploring, you and Eevee walked across the main bridge and got some nice cold ice cream from the shop. A cone for you and a small bowl for Eevee. After delighting in your ice creams, you and Eevee went back to the city to find the next thing to do. While still admiring the sights, you sort of forgot to look where you were going. You bumped into someone. The person turned around to look you in the eyes, "There you are. I've been looking for you" he said. It was Gladion. Looks like you found him by accident. You smiled, "Sorry about bumping into you but at least we found each other now" you said. Gladion seemed to be observing you, "You have some grass in your hair" he told you while making the effort to take the blades out. You could've cleaned yourself off but if he wanted to do it for you, you weren't going to complain. Eevee jumped up and down at his feet, happy to see him.  You were  honestly happy to see him again. "How did your training go?" you asked remembering what it said on the note. He scooped up Eevee into his arms, "Fine. I think Zubat is almost ready to evolve" he told you completely at ease. You looked at Eevee, who was enjoying being held. He's never held Eevee before. But from what you could remember, he practically saved Eevee for you and Eevee did seem to like him a lot. You had some thoughts, but you shook them off. He was a friend, you could trust him with your Pokemon.

Although for some reason, something felt different about him and maybe you felt something different too...
