Chapter 13: Someone Out For Revenge

When we got into the attic, Charley was frantic. Delaney and Bilbo were unconscious on two medical beds, each with an IV attached to their arms.

"What happened?" Ender asked

"Someone with sound waves pitched a frequency that made them fall unconscious." Charley explained

"Who was it that attacked them?" I asked

"We don't know. We have to wait until they wake up." Charley said

"How long will that be?" Chirpy asked

"I'm not sure." He replied honestly. 

Salem ran in and immediately went to Bilbo's side.

"Will he be okay?!" She asked

"He should be fine." I reassured her

She sighed in relief, "That's good to hear."

"Uh-huh." Chirpy said

We heard Bilbo stir and open his eyes. He looked at us confused before something flashed in his eyes.

"W-where is she?" He asked

"Where is who?" Charley asked

"The H-Hartley g-girl." He said

"Hartley? You mean like Hartley Rathaway?" Charley asked

"W-who?" He asked

"I think Rathaway had a granddaughter." I said

"There is a Rathaway in the school." Chirpy spoke up

Charley, Ender, and I turned towards her.

"There is?!" Ender asked shocked 

"Yea, Her name's Krista Rathaway." Chirpy said in a duh tone.

"You know her?" Charley asked

"She used to live in my neighborhood when I was a kid." Chirpy said

"Well, What's her grandfather's name?" I asked

"Hartley Rathaway. She was always saying she'd get revenge on someone named Flash for doing something to him." Chirpy said

Charley sighed, "She's targeting me."

"Y-yes. S-she a-asked where y-you w-were C-Charley." Bilbo said

"Did you tell her anything?" Charley asked

"N-no. Delaney a-and I r-refused to t-tell h-her anything." He said

"So, she used sonic sound waves to knock you out." Charley said aloud

Delaney gasped and sat up in her bed. She stared at us and yelled.

"Krista! It's Krista!" She said

"We established that Del." Chirpy said

"O-oh." Delaney said "My bad."

"Where were you attacked?" I asked

"The training yard. She said she wanted revenge." Delaney said

"I'm going out there." Charley said

"No!" Ender and I said at the same time

"Why not?" He asked

"Because, we will take her on together. You are not fighting her alone." I said

He smiled, "Thanks Aliana."

"Anytime." I smiled

"Well, let's go and give this meta a piece of our minds. No one attacks our teammates and gets away with it." Ender said

Bilbo and Delaney started to get up, but Salem stopped them.

"You guys have to rest. You cannot fight in this one. I'm sorry." She said. 

Bilbo laid back down while Delaney huffed a response. Salem, Charley, Ender, Chirpy and I headed towards the training area to face a rival. I hoped nothing would go wrong.
