Ross' POV
"Courtney, wait!," I called and ran after her.
"what, Ross?," she asked and spun around to face me.
"I love you," I spoke and she just rolled her eyes.
"it didn't look like that," she shot at me.
"I'm sorry for what you saw, Courtney. I don't know what happened," I confessed.
"save it, Ross. We're over," she spat and started to walk away.
"no!," I yelled surprising myself.
"I love you, Courtney. Not Laura," I said. She stopped in her tracks and walked back towards me.
"what would have happened if I wasn't there? Would you have kissed, Laura?," she asked.
"Courtney- answer the question, Ross," she interrupted.
"yes," I answered and hung my head.
"yeah, we're done, Ross," she responded and walked away.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"dammit!," I screamed and threw myself on my bed.
"damn. What happened to you?," Calum asked, closing his textbook.
"I almost kissed, Laura and- what!," Calum interrupted.
"and... Courtney broke up with me," I finished.
"I'm sorry, man," Calum said but I brushed him off. I didn't need his sympathy.
I didn't need anyone's sympathy. I didn't want anyone's sympathy.
"Ross... I'm sorry," Laura's voice said. I sat up and noticed Calum was gone.
"it wasn't your fault. I'm sorry I dragged you into this," I said and patted the spot next to me. She took it.
"it's my fault she broke up with you. I'm sorry," she apologized.
"Laura stop apologizing. It's not your fault. It was Courtney's loss, but my gain," I said and somehow we were inches apart. I didn't plan on doing so... but I ended up kissing Laura.
