Prologue.

It was a starry Friday where colors of pink and red flaunting jauntily. Roses, balloons, and hearts were artistically donned in every doorways and corners. Friends and lovers of all ages were exchanging sappy greetings. Indeed, it was Valentine's Day.

Clad with her newly developed confidence, prettily donned with her Vera Wang long gown paired with her five inches Jimmy Choo heels, huminga ng malalim si Gary habang nag-uumpisang pumasa-ere ang tugtog nila para sa kanilang cotillion.

Hanggang sa mga sandaling iyon, hindi pa rin siya sigurado sa mga kasagutang kinakailangan na niyang pagdesisyunan. Humihingi na ng sagot ang million-dollar question nito.

Masayang nagdaraos ang party. Halos lahat ng mga kaibigan nila ay nabinyagan na ang dance floor. Well, except him whom she lost sight just right after they performed. "Gary, mag-uusap kayo," June muttered. Authority was evident in his voice that it was a command she should obey. "I'm warning you, wag na wag kang tatayo riyan," he added. Iniisip marahil nito na tatakas na naman siya katulad ng palagi niyang ginagawa sa tuwing naseset-up sila sa parehas na eksena.
