Shravan Ki Sumo, Sumo Ka Shravan

The questionnaire

Shravan reaches Malhotra house and drops Kamini Chachi but under a pretext leaves out for a drive .

Kya ho sakta hai kaaran.. Sumo ka  ye behaviour.. kahin wo apne pyaar se insecure hai kya ?.. ya maami se dar rahi hai ?.. But Sumo to sab lad legi.. wo bhi apne pyaar ke liye .. No way! she will not fall back on the love front..

WAIT.. she is scared of you Shravan .. maybe she is upset about the way you feel about women. The way her heart is racing to a dead end !
Oh God Sumo... this is no dead end.. this is a dark tunnel..hold my hand and we ll soon reach the brightest and happiest future awaiting us at the other end.

He smiled to himself and took a U turn and wondered how his life was taking a turn too.. how close he had been to giving up on his love and Sumo... HiS Sumo.. always.. mehendi mein poora naam to likhvake rahoonga Moti 😍

As he reached home he saw his father talking happily over the phone.
Tiwari ji felt better now..it was a mere case of dehydration but at his age, things had gone a little out of hand .
Shravan heaved a sigh of relief and told his father that he will go there first thing in morning... well he would, wouldn't he 😁

Suman was lost in her thought. She had just finished the breakfast and after arranging things for the day she had excused herself to contemplate her situation..
Nanu was better..he was really eager to her married , if not with, at least right after Preeti. After all Sumo was the older granddaughter.

Knock knock..
Shravan here !.. so early.!?

Shravan walks towards her, hits her with a roll of paper in his hand and then sits on the bed ,puts his feet up,and leans backwards on the pillows.

S- kya baat hai? Ye kya tha?

Sh - so.. apne dost ko bataya bina shaadi ?

S- kiski ?

Shravan- tumhari. Koi update nahi mila tujhe?..kitchen se bahar nikal...tere life ki jo kichdi yahan pak rahi hai..uski khushboo Malhotra house tak aa raha hai..😊

S - kya kah rahe ho Shravan?.. tum itne khush kyon ho.?. kya ye sab mazaak hai..

Sh- arey.. main hoon tumhara "shaadi-man". Ab chalo bhaith jao aur fatafat mere sawal ka jawab do.. hamein jaldi shortlist karna hai..

Suman sits on the cot near his legs and is totally confused and inwardly very angry at his excitement.

Sh - Sumo.. wahan nahi.. paas aake bhaito na.. ye sab chilla chilla ke thodi na poochoonga.. tum sharmaogi..

Suman - hello... mujhe yahan sab sunayi dega and koi sharmane waala nahi hai.. shaadi hai.. ho jayegi jab honi hai..

Sh - OK.. ( and starts to speak animatedly with no sound. Sumo realises his tactics .. rolls her eyes and goes to sit beside him ).. that's better Sumanji.So mein chahta hon ki tumhari shadi meri marzi se ho. Maami chahti hai ki tumhari shaadi bus ho.. chachi chahti hai tumhari shaadi Delhi mein ho.. ( Suman raises her eyebrows questioningly ).. shayad tumse kaam karvane 😂🤔

Qns 1 love ya arranged marriage ?

S- Shravan..ye sab kya hai.. kuch bhi sawal poochte ho..

Sh -ok then direct love marriage qns .. kya tum Aditya se shaadi karogi..?

S - kya ??? Aaj mein sirf kya kya kar rahi hoon.. jabse aaye aise utpataan baat kar rahe ho Shravan. Pagal ho gaye ho.. Aditya mera dost hai.. bus wo bhi school ke time pe..

Sh- (keeps looking at the paper ) to agar tumhara koi School ka dost tumse pyaar kare..tumse shaadi karna chahe, to wo kya galat hai Sumo??

Sumo feels out of breath..
ye Shravan kiski baat kar raha hai.. hey Bhagwan taakat do mujhe."Let me put it this way.. my wedding with Aditya will not be a love marriage from my end..OK?"

Sh -Good so love marriage cancelled. Then arranged hi sahi.. bolo.. ek ladka hai.. tall hai, padha likha hai, thoda rich bhi hai, tum use jaanti ho, pasand bhi karti ho...that i know.. but handsome nahi hai ☺😀😉

Sumo now gets very nervous, she can sense where it is going.. man! where are the people in this house.. somebody call me now.. ask for a cup of tea.. break something in the kitchen.. God please.make.me disapper.. I can't answer this. She gets up but Shravan blocks her and pushes her back,... the jerk was unexpected and she falls right on his legs.Shravan is absolutely unperturbed.

Sh- jaldi bolo Sumo. Handsome nahi hai..chalega chalega chalega ?

S - uffo Shravan..chalega ,ok ? Handsome nahi hai..rich nahi ha.. unpadh hai.. chota hai.. sab chhalega.. mein kisi bhi gadhe se shaadi karloongi. khush ?

Sh - wow..itni jaldi baat khatam.

S - what ? Where did he come from?..tumne to kaha..

Sh - haan na.. bandha kamaal ka hai..tumne hi to kaha.. baaki research maine kiya.. aur Delhi mein hi hai..aur kya chahiye. ?

S- wo... aise kaise... wo us din hum kitne der ruke the.. Rehmat library mein.. wo to aaya hi nahi..and maafi bhi nahi maangi😠. Meine to tabhi reject kar diya.

Shravan-hmmm baat library ki ho ya coffee shop ki..jab hum kisi ka pyaar se intezaar karte hain aur wo nahi aata.. aur maafi bhi nahi maangta.. tab dard to hota hai Sumo...bahut dard hota hai.

She is unable to meet his gaze.. she knows what he means..

S- wo Shravan... I am.sorry.. sach mein busy thi and ....bus sorry .

Sh - pareshan mat ho.. o.k. ab chodo use...infact ye saare shaadi wali batein bhi chodo.. mujhe tumse kuch poochna hai.. for the past few min... it s been in my mind... but I want nothing but the truth.. look at me Sumo.. one question and just the truth.

Oh not this.. Ramnath uncle se promise kiya tha .ab kya karoon.. Shravan bol do ki tum mujhse pyaar karte ho..fir poocho...jawab mein tumhe sabse bada hug milega.. but pehle tum plsss

S - ok Shravan. Mein tumse jhoot nahi boloongi but usoolon ke khilaf ho to sach bhi nahi bol paoongi..

Shravan laughs.. "usool ke khilaaf😂 " he then moves forward and come closer to her.. inches from her face.. "Sumo..meri taraf dekho"

She silently turns and gazes into his eyes... looks like a dream. He speaks very softly.
"Sumo..my dear Sumo.. . ye jo poori shaadi ki planning hai.. meri godi mein hi karogi ya neeche bed pe bhi bhaitogi Moti"

Suman jumps out of the bed embarrassed to the bone. "wo pata nahi.. I am so sorry Shravan..so so sorry. Tum sir pe chade the..bolo bolo bolo..aur upar se shaadi ka topic.. mein nervous thi..decision nahi le paaye.. and.. oh God Shravan plz.. I am so sorry.. "

"uffo.. relax... mujhe na bura laga , na dard hua..Waise bhithaya to maine hi tha.. "
he grins widely. She turns and starts adjusting the bed.He gets up and starts to leave..
" Filhaal Aditya and Kashyap cancel samajta hoon..OK ? "

"Get out Shravan "

"Waise life mein kabhi fir se decision making issues ho ya agar nervous ho.. to jaldi se aake meri godi mein bhaith jao.. solve hote hi chale jo."

"Chi Shravan.. kaise insaan ho.. get out.. sorry manga na.. isme daant faad ke hasne waali koi baat nahi hai.. galti ho gayi.. bus gayab ho jao.. "

Shravan gets up and just before he leaves says.. " waise Sumo.. mera offer zindagi bhar ka tha.. lifetime validity. Think about it "...he gives the most understanding sweetest smile and walks out

Sumo is shocked... iska matlab kya hai ??? And slumps onto her bed.
