Shravan Ki Sumo, Sumo Ka Shravan

Nirmala's son

Shravan went home and found all had  gathered around Aditya. He was flaunting his juggling skills after already having given sermons about his culinary talent and social interactions. The younger cousins who had come for the wedding were giggling and clapping.

Shravan' POV
Oh man ! How tiresome.  Either make me invisible or him. Can't stand his sight.. and he..HE dreams of Sumo??? I ll soon make it his deadliest nightmare.

Aditya " Arey Shravan, aa gaye.  Tumhare cousins to saare mere fan ban gaye.. waise na mein bandha hi aisa hoon, ki jisne bhi dekha usne dil kho diya"

And he is On again.. " yeah.. "

Look at my traitor of cousins, I am surely not sending Rakhi gifts to atleast 3 here!

Dolly -"Hey Adi, aap Shravan bhaiyya ko nahi jaante, aisa kuch nahi hai jo wo nahi kar sakte"

Now she is  my fav cousin, atleast hereafter 😁
"Bhaiyya plz, aap humare liye ball spin karke dikhao na "

I would have typically refused as I am no showcasing type but this scene needed support.. " OK, sirf tumhare liye.. I am tired so just once and then I ll head out, Aditya entertain karega uske baad.. kyon Aditya? "

Aditya -" main na ,kisi ka bhi... "

Shravan- " Kamal ji ball plz " and please aim it on this duffers head.!!! He is still yacking and I am soon going to be deaf! GOD,  you really should have made earlids😐😐

The sight of the BB brings so many memories.. kitna spin kiya meine Sumo ko irritate karne. rubik cube ke jaaise aaj bhi sirf try kar rahi hai 😊😊

And Shravan does some amazing spinning and tosses it between fingers and finishes it with a perfect head toss which "accidentally " landed on Aditya 's mobile.

Shravan " oh bro, sorry. Accident tha"

Aditya- " kya yaar.. itna hi hai tera talent?.. chal mazaak kar raha tha.. waise mere mobile ko kuch nahi hoga kyonki usme meri GF.. yaane meri ma ka pic hai.. So she always protects and takes care of everything.. " he quickly checks it and smiles assuringly.. "kaha tha na sab perfect , dekh lo mera personal anti virus 😊"

Shravan was shocked..lost for words and emotions.. he just stared at the pic of the woman he hated.
His MOTHER!... jo khud virus hai.. jo sab ujaad degi.. jo barbaadi ka doosra naam hai.. slowly he comes back to words like " most beautiful..dutiful guardian " floating in the air.
Shravan storms out of the hall to his room.

Even Aditya is startled! "waise aapka Bhai,hai to thoda yeda. Manners ki class mein na hamesha absent tha... "

In Shravan's room. He just slammed the door and slumped right there.

Oh God..oh god.. oh my god... mere zindagai ko baar baar ujadne kyon aa jati ho ?.. bachpan cheen liya.. jisse pyaar karta tha and jisse apni dil ki baat kehni thi..use badhka diya.. aaj jab fir se khushiyan aane waali hai apne is kamine parchayi ko bhej diya?.. Sumo mujhe mile ya na.. wo Aditya ki kabhi nahi banegi..uske zindagi mein aap jaise ek matlabi aurat aur kamine beta ka saay nahi padhna chahiye.. Sumo mujhse hamesha ke liye door ho jayegi.. No.. first thing tomorrow I need to end this madness, need to warn her. Aditya sprain kya, khoon bhi kar sakta hai.. jiski aap jaisi ma ho unke usool to bazaar mein bik chuke honge .. 😐

Early next morning Shravan leaves for Tiwary Killa and finds Kamini chachi bossing around. When he tries to sneak away, she spots him and forces him to have his breakfast. Then she tells him to give a list of the people who should get the 'special' shagun bag .. "ab in logon ke saath to har cheez mein kit kit... ab sabhi logon  ko to shagun ki thaili mein silver daalti mein ..par in logon ke mein to daalna pakka hai..meine Manju se baat kardi. Bus ye list dekar use fir se pyaar se samjhakar aa ja.. bus koi rona dhona ya bahana nahi chahiye mujhe.. Tu kab nikal payega ? "

Shravan - "kya chachi, aapke kaam mein deri ?Mein abhi nikalta hoon"

Kamini - " Thank you beta " bus tujhe aise waise karke hamesha Tiwary Killa mein baandh doon.. ab aag to lagegi hi na.. 😄

Suman was cooking and was lost in thought when she heard the screeching of tyres.
"Oh mad Driver! Shayad pehli baar gaadi chala raha hai..." She continued to stir in the kadai when Shravan entered.
Suman looks at him and smiles " Good morning sir. Kya tumhare gaadi ka bhi clutch kharab ho gaya... aise koi brake maarta hai kya? "

Shravan- " Chodo Sumo.. I have to tell you something very important .Yeh stove sab band karo and poora dhyaan do... "

Suman does that and is very worried.
Shravan-"Wo jo tumhara dost hai na Aditya..pata hai wo itna kamina kyon hai? "

Suman smiles.. jealous.. " kuch bhi.. wo kahan.."

Shravan  - " Don't interrupt.  Just listen. Uska behaviour, opposite gender mein wo weakness, cheapness..pata hai kyon hai?...Kyonki wo Aditya AHUJA hai... Nirmala AHUJA ka beta!! "

Suman is shocked.. "par wo..par"

Shravan  " shocked right ?..cheap.. ab khud soch lo"

Suman is very angry - " ek to baat jo tum jar rahe ho na.. wo bilkul galat hai. Aditya sirf  mera dost hai and wo cheap nahi hai"  Shravan smirks.. " and jo tumne apni ma ke baare mein kaha wo to sunne layak bhi nahi hai "

Shravan- " not that again.. "

Suman- " haan haan.. ye baat ab mere haathon se nikal gayi hai and Aditya ke baare mein tumhe kaise pata chala ?Tumhe bhi nanu ne bola ? "

Shravan was stunned.."mujhe bhi ? Bhi ?.. matab tumhe pata tha? " she slowly nodded realising what she was in for.

"Oh I get it, tum mujhe hurt nahi karna chahti thi right?"
She nodded again but knew there was more to come.. "wo Shravan.."

Shravan- " leave it Sumo..I know these lines by heart now.. meine ye nahi bataya kyonki tumhe hurt nahi karna chahti thi, wo nahi batYa kyonki tum samajh nahi paoge, ye chupaya kyonki tum naraaz ho jaoge..  ye woh.. har baat mein share karta hoon, tum har baat chupati ho..esp aise super important cheezein.. so tell me tumhe kab se pata tha.. SUMO tell me. "

Suman- " dekho Shravan wo actually. "

Shravan- " reason no 23?. Mein chk kar loonga.. tum sirf mere sawal ka jawab do.. kab se aur kaise ? JALDI! "

Suman- " Wo Aditya ne propose kiya tha..us raat ko Nanu mujhse baat kar rahe the.. bola jo bhi ho jabardasti nahi hai.. batein hoti rahti hain.. And Nirmala aunty had called Nanu to talk about her son.. tab Nanu ne saari batein batayi aur poocha ki kya mein Nirmala aunty ki bahu banoongi ?" .. Suman said that all in a single breath and didn't dare to look at Shravan.

Shravan- " Tumhara jawab ? "

Suman - still looking down "shayad haan"....

Shravan flings the ladle she was holding in the sink and pulls her by her shoulders.

Suman's PoV

Oh God.. There is so much fury that he may throw me out of my own house. Ab kaise samjhaoon..koi reason nahi tha..bus dar gayi..and mujhe laga ki agar mein tumhe ye boloon to tum dono kuch tension badhaoge.. ladoge aur Preeti ki shaadi mein kya dekhne ko mile.. and mujhe usse kahan shaadi karni hai Shravan.  Tum aise ghuma ghuma kar baat karte rahoge to mein Nanu se kya kahoongi?

Shravan kept staring at her unable to digest what had just happened. In the last 12 hours life had given him hard and confused situations . Slowly he reduced the pressure and jerked her off.  After 3 failed attempts at saying something, finally Shravan managed to speak.  " Sumo, I may be crossing the line but I just wanted you to clearly understand one thing.  Your Nirmala aunty has one and only son and that is Aditya Ahuja. Memorise this for the rest of your life"

Suman- "but Shravan, shayad kabhi.." she only had the kitchen walls to talk to... yeh kya ho gaya Suman, ab ye apni ma ko kabhi maaf nahi karega, mujhe maaf nahi karega , kuch nahi samjhega ya sunega.. Aur humari dosti to timer ke saath hi aati hai.. 3 din khush kya rah diye ki ye aafat toot padhi.... Shravan please , itna to samaj gaye na ki meine haan sirf saasu ko ki hai.. abhi tum hi ko aage kuch karna hoga..
