Unpleasant

You were heaven on earth. My personal paradise. You were a sunset in the fairly contrasted sky. You were the ocean waves crashing gently down my feet. You were the delicious smell of fresh-baked muffins. You were the sight of a hot cheesy pizza. You were pastel. You were twinkling sounds. You were sweetness.

But things get broken. So was us.

You were a heavy grey sky of tornados. You were a tsunami swallowing up homes. You were the smell of burnt handwritten letters. You were the sight of scratched screens. You were blazing, flashing colours. You were glass shattering to shards. You were bitterness.

You became the most unpleasant to me.

...

I hear shattering glass in your voice, your name, you.
