Chapter 24

It's almost wedding time and I can't wait. Earth is mine. I paced around my room thinking to myself.

Kai has been crying a lot more lately. I try to cheer him up but, he never tells me what's wrong. I have an idea though. I remembered that night.

I walked into our room one night and noticed a pile of letters. Later I noticed something. The first letter of every letter was written bigger than the rest. After glancing over them it hit me.

I laid the letters out in order of the date they were written. 'Will you marry me' was spelled out before me.

Why would kai write those? I glanced through them and found a name. Selene. The maid! Was he going to propose to the maid? I can't believe he would set such low standards! Why would an emperor marry a maid? He's gone insane. He has me, and I'm all he needs.

Good thing I got rid of that useless maid.
