"Mera bachha!!!"

Raman, who had gone to get her medicines, stepped in just in time and hearing her scream came running towards her "Ishita!" he called out concerned.

"Mr.Bhalla!?" Exclaimed Ishita on spotting him. "Ye yahan kya kar rahe hain?" She asked Mihika.

Mihika who was already confused with Ishita's behaviour did not have an answer. Raman was not aware of what had transpired in his absence. He assumed that Ishita was still miffed at him and did not like his presence around her.

"Mera bachha kahan hai? Batao tum donon ne milkar mere bachhe ke saath kya kiya?" She asked them.

"Ishita...ye tum kya bol rahi ho?" Asked Raman perplexed.

"Mera bachha kahan hai? Mujhe mera bachha chahye" she screamed trying to pull out the needle that was injected at the back of her palm and get out of her bed.

"Ishita control karo khud ko. Ruhi is safe" Raman replied as he bent forward and held her in place. She wriggled in his hold struggling and screaming maniacally.

"Mihika call the doctor" instructed Raman as he tried to tame Ishita.

When the doctor's effort to calm her down failed, she injected the sedative into her body making her go unconscious.

"I need to talk to you two" said the doctor. Mihika and Raman followed the doctor while a nurse stayed back with Ishita.

The doctor asked Mihika to narrate what happened after Ishita regained her consciousness. Mihika recalled every single detail.

"Well this is a little bit confusing for me right now. I guess I will have to see her previous reports before coming to any conclusion" said the doctor.

"I think mujhe pata hai ke Ishita is tarah kyun behave kar rahi thi" remarked Raman.

"Aap kya kehna chah rahe hain Mr.Bhalla?" Asked the doctor.

"Ishita ki yaaddashth wapas agayi hai" he said but be didn't look happy.

"Aap sach keh rahe ho jiju? Akka ki yaaddashth wapas agayi hai?" Mihika was ecstatic.

"Well...That's a good news Mr.Bhalla!" Exclaimed the doctor.

"It is a good news but not for me" he chuckled painfully.

"I don't get you" said the doctor.

"Ishita ko woh sab yaad agaya hai jo uske accident se pehle hua tha, par woh un saari baaton ko bhool gayi hai jo uske accident ke baad hua" he revealed his discovery.

Mihika analysed his theory based on what she had witnessed and she too concluded that he was right "Aap sahi keh rahe ho. Isiliye Akka mujhse pooch rahi thi ke mai Chennai se kaise aayi, kyunki jab Akka ka accident hua tha us waqt mai Chennai me thi"

"Are you two sure about it?" The doctor asked.

"Lagta toh yahi hai" Mihika replied.

"Aapko kya lagta hai Mr.Bhalla?" The doctor turned her attention towards Raman.

Mihika looked at Raman and found him lost in thoughts. She shook his arm gently breaking his stream of thoughts.
The doctor repeated her question to which he replied "Haan mujhe bhi yahi lagta hai. Jab Ishita ka accident hua tha woh pregnant thi. Aur us waqt bhi woh apne bachhe ko lekar fikrmand thi. Apni jaan se zyada use apne bachhe ki parwaah thi"

"Hmmm...aap donon ki baaton se toh yahi samajh me aata hai. Let us see ke ab Ishita hosh me aane ke baad kaise react karti hai. Ishita ko ye lagta hai ke woh apni accident ke baad ab uthi hai, toh hum use yahi samajhne dete hain" the doctor adviced.

"Lekin doctor woh agar phir se apne bachhe ke baare me poochegi toh? Ruhi toh 10 mahine ki hai. Agar use pata nahi chala ke uske accident ko itna arsa beet chuka hai, toh woh Ruhi ko apni bachhi kaise accept karegi. Usko toh lagta hai ke Ruhi abhi new born hai" Raman reminded.

"Ye baat toh hai. Agar Ishita is baar hosh me aane ke baad bhi apne bachhe ke baare me poochti hai toh humein use uske bachhe se milana hi padega. Warna use control karna mushkil hoga. Hum usse ye keh sakte hain ke woh accident ke baad ab tak hosh me nahi thi, I mean she was in coma. Then she will be able to accept ke Ruhi uski beti hai" the doctor suggested.

"Hum Akka se jhoot kyun bolein? Hum unhein batayenge ke accident ke baad Akka jiju ke saath thi. Us beech jo kuch hua hum Akka ko sach sach bata denge. Jhoot nahi bolenge Akka se" Mihika argued.

"Miss Mihika! Lagta hai aapko apni Akka ki fikr nahi hai. Isiliye aisi baatein kar rahi hain. Do you have any idea ke in sab baaton ka unki dimagi haalat par kya asar ho sakta hai? Doctors apne patients ka bhala chahte hain, tabhi kuch suggest karte hain. Agar aapko mere advices follow nahi karne hain toh please apni Akka ko lekar kisi aur hospital me chali jayiye" the doctor lashed out.

"What......" Mihika began to argue but was interrupted by Raman as he held her back and apologised to the doctor on her behalf.

"Aap jaisa kahenge hum waise hi karenge. All that matters is Ishita's wellbeing" Raman promised.

"Aap ne doctor se aisa kyun kaha jiju. Hum Akka ko sach kyun nahi bata sakte?" Mihika was totally disappointed with Raman's decision to follow the doctor's advice.

"Mai sirf Ishita ki bhalayi chahta hoon" he replied.

"Aur aapka kya? Aapne jo aaj tak Akka keliye kiya hai uska kya?" She demanded.

"Woh sab koi maaine nahi rakhta Mihika" he said not meeting her gaze.

"Aise toh Akka kabhi aapke paas lautkar nahi ayengi. Unhe kabhi is baat ka ehsaas nahi hoga ke aapne unke liye kya kya qurbaaniyaan di hain. Please don't do this jiju" she requested.

"Shhhh....Jiju mat bulao. Ishita ne sunliya toh problem ho jayegi. Waise bhi mai kabhi tumhara jiju tha hi nahi. Woh toh bas ek sapna tha jo mai haqeeqat samajhke jee raha tha. Ab woh sapna toot chuka hai toh humein ye maanke jeena padega ke phir kabhi woh sapna haqeeqat me nahi badal sakta" he stated.

"Kyun itna pyar karte ho aap Akka se? Kaash meri naseeb me bhi aap jaisa pyar karnewala koi ho" she wished with teary eyes.

"Tumhari naseeb me mujhse bhi zyada pyar karnewala koi ho" he blessed placing his palm on her head. "Par kisi pyar karnewale ki naseeb mujh jaisi na ho" he added sadly.

Mihika burst into tears hearing him. "It's ok" he said to himself more than her, patting her back as he struggled to stay strong.

"Tum jaisa chahti thi wahi hua na?" He whispered holding Ishita's hand who was sleeping peacefully under the affect of the sedatives. "Mujhe jo yaad hai woh bhool jaaun aur jo mai bhool gayi hoon woh mujhe yaad ajaye..... Yahi kaha tha na tumne us din jab mai tumhe sach batane aaya tha. Dekho uparwale ne phir se tumhari baat maanli aur meri pukar ko ansuna kardiya. Pata nahi uparwale se meri kis baat par bair hai ke woh har baar hi meri duaa ko thukra deta hai. Shayad use is baat ki shikayat hai ke mai usse zyada tumse pyar karta hoon. Huhhh....kya karun is dil pe mera bas jo nahi hai. Tumse pyar karna, ye bhi toh meri kismat me usi ne likha tha. Par pata nahi kyun tumhe meri kismat me likhne se use inkaar hai"

"Par ab kar bhi kya sakta hoon, jo usne likha hai use maanna toh padega hi. Koi aur chaara bhi toh nahi hai" he gave up helplessly.

"I love you Ishita. I love you. I love you. Kaash tumhe ye sunayi deta" he finally broke down holding her hand close to his heart.
