Heartbeat - Draco Short

I would like to apologise... so many of you are pointing it out that butterbeer has no alcohol. Fire whiskey would've been a better one to go with. But anyway, 17K? THANK YOU ALL SO SO MUCH I LOVE YOU ALL TO THE MOON AND BACK AND THEN BACK TO THE MOON AND KEEP DOING THAT TILL' NASA DECIDES TO STOP SENDING SHUTTLES TO THE MOON!

[Y/n's PoV]

I close my eyes as I rest my head on my boyfriend's chest. It wasn't late but the two of us had decided to skip classes today and stay together. Of course, my heart is beating rapidly.

Every time Draco looks at me or touches me my heart runs a marathon. I know I'm dating him now but I can't help it. I never thought this boy would have such an affect on me.

I shift my head so I can hear his heartbeat. It's at a normal pace. No unusual rhythms, no speeding, nothing. I couldn't help myself from frowning.

"Draco?" I say in a soft voice.

"Hm?" I get in response. I look up to see his eyes closed.

"D-do you..." My voice trails off. His eyes open slightly and he looks down at me. One arm is wrapped around my waist while the other is behind his head. I sigh. "Never mind."

"Babe, what's up?" He asks but I just shake my head.

"Nothing."

"Tell me." He whines. I look up at his pleading dog like eyes and sigh, another frown placing itself on my features.

"It's just.... d-do you.... do you love me?" I blurt out.

Draco is silent for a moment. "What brought that up?"

I shrug. "I don't know. It's just.... every time you do something to me... even just look at me.... my heart beats really fast," I awkwardly laugh, "but your heart never does. Do I not affect you or something?" I look back up to him, a smirk playing on his lips.

The silence is deafening. I want him to say something. "Draco... say something... do you love me?" I whisper.

"Of course I love you, (Y/n)." He whispers. "My heart doesn't beat that fast because I like the fact of having you here. It calms me. I'm always tense but when I see you everything just relaxes. I love you, (Y/n), more than words can say." He smiles down at me. "But there are of course some thing's you do that make me nervous and my heart beats fast." He chuckles.

"Oh really?" My ears perk up. "Like what?"

He shakes his head. "I'm not telling you."

"Awh! Pweese!" I pout

"N-no... (Y/n). You'll just use it against me all the time." I sigh and place my head back down on his chest. I listen as his heart pace slows down-

Wait... what?!

Is it because I pouted? Is that it? Oh yes!

I look back up to him and his eyes open once again, looking down at me. "What's up now?"

"I wanna know what makes your heart beat fast." I lie, pouting.

"(Y/n)... I-I said no." He rests his back again and I lie down to feel his beating heart. "Besides, I'm pretty sure you just found out."
