Cris! Please! Shit! Don't be a brat now for Pete's sake.
I turn back around, running towards my car still parked in front of her apartment building with the door still open. I get in and drive like crazy towards the airport while dialing her number on the phone.
Giving up on calling her, I dial Jason's number instead, looking up from the phone and to the road and back again, balancing the wheel as I swerve through light traffic.
"Mark!" My friend answers almost immediately. "Have you heard?"
"Yes. Shit!" I step on the brakes, almost hitting the car in front of me that has stopped because of the red light. "I need people here, Jason. Where the fuck are they?"
"They're there. Must be just settling down. You ok?"
"I lost her ... Again."
"What? Cris?"
"Damn it!" I honk my horn once I see the light turning green again and the car in front of me hasn't moved yet. "Yes." I answer the boy on the other line. "Shit. She ran away. I'm on my way to the airport. Send me the number of the guys. I need them now."
"On it." He says. "Mark .... That girl ...."
"Who?"
"Sandra."
"What about her?"
"She might be in trouble, too."
"What?" That takes me by surprise. I had a feeling Sandra or her dad is behind this. "What do you mean?"
"Just earlier, it was on the news. Her father ...."
My blood starts pumping even faster. I don't want to think that the old man is out, but that's exactly what's on my mind right now.
"He ... He hang himself in jail."
"What????" That's even more of a surprise. I suddenly get even more nervous, thinking of the cut call I had with Mr. Samson earlier. "Jason. Shit ... Can you check on Cris' dad for me?" I told him about the call and I heard him giving instructions to someone with him. "Where are you?"
"I'm with your dad." He answers. "He's booking some flights for you as we speak. He wants you out of there as soon as possible."
"Please, call me."
"No probs. I'll check on the people you said Mr. Samson mentioned he has sent."
"Thanks, bro."

The airport is crowded when I get there. The men I called earlier arrived a few minutes later. They help me search the area, but we couldn't see any trace of Cristina.
Only when we get back to our cars that I realize I've been really stupid. I immediately checked my phone and trace Cris' GPS. It's gonna take a while. I instruct some of the men to get Sandra and take her to a safe house and I told them to wait for me there.
I'm still a bit doubtful about her. I'm not sure if this is just another of her schemes. These could all be connected. Her, stealing money from the resort - although I couldn't really prove it was her, the threats, and Cris' mom missing. Somehow, I still blame myself for all these, too. Actually, everything started because of me. With Lara ... Sean ... Sandra ... and now this.
I look down on the phone on my hand when it suddenly lights up. The GPS got a hit. Cris is moving to the south of the city and I immediately step on the gas and follow the map.
However, the light stops and disappears.
"Damn it!" I hit the steering wheel. Could she have known and turned off her phone? I let the remaining men with me spread. We search every possible place she could be based on the last location I have of her.
