"John. Where are we going?" I notice we're going faster and faster. I can't even identify what city we are in. "John!" I call his name out louder since he doesn't answer.
He looks at his watch and continues to ignore me.
"JOHN!"
"I'm thinking. I'm thinking, ok?" He shouts back, keeping his eye on the road.
I lean back on my chair and think myself. Wild thoughts running into my head. I see blood everywhere. I take off my shirt, not caring anymore if I only have my bra under, and use it to wipe the blood off my still shaking hands. I'm trembling as I try to remove the stains on my pants, too.
I don't notice my tears dripping down from my face, down to my thighs.
I didn't kill them. I didn't do it. I didn't. I ....
My body jerks forward when John suddenly steps on the breaks.
"Fuck. John...." I glare at him, but his eyes are glued in front. I look at what caused him to stop and see a man, standing in the middle of the dark road, his arms up to his sides. "Uncle Ed?"
"Shit!" John curses. His expression changing from shock to anger.
"JOHN! NO..." I pull him back in the car when I see him snatch a gun from behind him - I didn't even know he had one. He could've gotten it from one of Mark's men in the house. "I know him." I tell him.
He easily pushes me away and he's out the car in a blink of an eye.
"UNCLE ED!" I shout as I hurry to get off the seatbelt and out the car. But, I immediately duck when I hear a loud gun shot. "NO..." I'm already a crying mess as I cover my ears as more shots are fired.
"Mark!" I run to him, staying behind him as his arms are spread to the side. I scream when I hear a shot being fired from outside. Mark pulls me down as he fires towards the ones at the door.
"Stay down." He tells me. I cover myself with my arms. Non-stop gun fires can be heard and I can't brave myself to open my eyes and take a look.
We're only a few minutes now from the pier. I turn around since the shooting has stopped, fearing for the worst. Mark has Lara again with him. Just then, Sean appears from the door. "Shoot them." He orders.
Sean snatches the gun from one of his men and shoots.
A loud scream escapes my mouth and I cover my ears with both hands, still I can hear the loud shots.
In panic, I lifted the gun I was holding and fired. Before Sean completely fell down on the floor, he fired another one. I hear a loud thud of not just one person dropping, but two. I quickly looked to my right where Sean was pointing his gun earlier in fear that he got Mark. But, what I saw was Lara sprawled on the floor, one bullet hole on her arm and another right through her chest.
I am now in a morgue and Uncle Ed is behind me.
"NOOOOO!" I scream, throwing myself over the cold, lifeless body that once was my friend. "Trey. Don't do this to me. No ..." I shake her, "get up ... please. ..."
"Cris ..." Uncle Ed and the police try to pull me away but I cling onto her.
"No. You're just joking, aren't you? I hit her arm, sobbing aloud. "This isn't real. Trey! No ..."
I feel hands on my back and my arms, trying to take me away from the body. Then I hear a very soft voice. "Babe? Cris?"
Mark?
