Chapter 26
Finnick Pov.
We get back to district four in the morning. Annie and I have dinner with my parents at their house. We sit at the down at the table with my parents and my mom puts all the plates of food on the table. We all grab some and make small talk. I'm glad my parents don't bring up the Annie's games or mine. We just avoid all topics related to the hunger games. It was a nice dinner, until Annie had a flash back. My parents looked in shock, I know they care about Annie too.
I whisper in Annie's ear things like, "it's okay, you're with me, you're safe." It calms her down and reminds her that she's not in the arena anymore. When she finally snaps out of it she says sorry to my mom and dad.
"Annie you have nothing to apologize for." Dad says nicely.
"That's what I've been telling her." I agree.
"Okay, okay. I get it I'm wrong on this." she says with a laugh.
I feel bad that she always gets mad at herself for being the way she is. I think she is perfect the way she is. I don't care what she looks like, or what random things she does. I will always love her, forever.
