It had been a few days since Johnny proposed to me, and he had turned eighteen last night. He was now a legal adult in both Italy and America, so he was a free man.

Needless to say, I think I gave Johnny a pretty memorable night.

We were both happy, and content, but there were still a few things that we needed to do before we could flee the country and go back to Tulsa.

We had to tell Johnny's dad about us, as well as his "girlfriend" Gina.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" I asked, grabbing his hand. Steve was driving, concentrating on the road.

"I need to do this, Ponyboy," he started. He clearly looked scared. "Familga is everything to me. They deserve to know that I'm leaving the country to start a life with you."

I felt my heart break when he said that he was leaving the country to be with me. I almost felt guilty, like I was making him unhappy.

Steve suddenly spoke up.

"We're here, guys. Just yell out if you need help. I'll stand around in the other room," he stated, before stepping out of the car.

I took a deep breathe, trying to calm my nerves.

When we stepped into the house, Johnny didn't hesitate on telling his parents that he was home.

"Padre! Madre! Come down here!" he yelled, before giving me a look. I felt chills go up my spine.

"What do you  bisogno, Jonathan?" asked his father, coming down the stairs.

He suddenly stopped in his tracks when he saw me.

"You!" he screamed. "What are you doing here?" I saw him clench his fists.

"Padre, I wanted to tell you that I'm going back to America with Ponyboy, and that we're going to get sposato," Johnny said, gripping onto my hand for his life.

His father didn't like what he said at all.

"You are not going to America to marry some ragazzo! You are staying in Italia with me and your mother, and you're marrying Gina!" he shrieked, pulling our hands apart. I gulped.

"It is no longer your scelta, Papa!" replied Johnny. "I'm an adult now, and you can't stop me from marrying Ponyboy!"

"I forbid it!" yelled his father. He suddenly lunged at us.

He grabbed me by the collar of my shirt, and held me against the wall.

"You listen here, boy," he started. "You turned my son into a fag! A cock sucking whore! I hate you for it! He was going to have a lovely wife named Gina, and have eight kids with her! Then, you came along and ruined it!"

He suddenly punched me right in the face.

Blood oozed from my lip, the metallic liquid dripping onto the carpet.

I suddenly heard a females voice.

"Johnny, is it true that you're gay?" asked the girl, who I couldn't see. I turned my head, trying to get a look at her.

She had shoulder length black hair that was curled at the ends, and big green eyes. She had olive skin, and full lips. She was beautiful, almost as perfect as a picture.

"It's true," replied Johnny, looking as nervous as ever. Frank suddenly dropped me onto the ground.

"Gina! How are you?" Frank asked. I suddenly felt like I couldn't breathe.

That was Gina?

She was an absolute bombshell. She was stunning. I could never compare to her.

If I were Johnny, I'd be in her arms right now.

"Don't ask me how I am!" she suddenly burst out, before turning to Johnny. "Is this Ponyboy?"

"How do you know my name?" I questioned. She gave me a small smile.

"Johnny told me about you, but I didn't know he was gay or dating you!" she exclaimed, before glaring at Johnny. "What the hell is wrong with you? Why didn't you just tell me that you were gay in the first place? We could have been friends, Jonathan!"

"I'm sorry," mumbled Johnny, before helping me up. I stared at her, and then at Frank.

"And you!" she started up again. "How dare you beat your son! We're in Italia, where family should mean qualunque cosa! You should love him!"

"I can't have a son who's a fag!" yelled Frank. She shook her head.

"You should love your son no matter who he is!" she shouted back.

Everything was suddenly a blur. Frank and Gina continued to argue, until something happened.

She punched him square in the face, breaking his nose, before kneeing him in the balls.

He crumbled to the ground, screaming in pain.

"Gina! I don't know what to say!" exclaimed Johnny. She gave us a smile, before shaking her head.

"Don't say, just leave," she started. "You broke my heart, and I defended you. I only did this out of love for you."

I gulped.

"I never want to see you again, Jonathan Cade. I only did this because of love, so never forget that. Move back to America, and loose my number."

Gina walked out of the door, tears rolling down her cheeks.

I couldn't do anything but respect her.
