Chapter 13

(Lily’s POV)

It was the weekend. Finally! And to make it even better my birthday was tomorrow! I’ve been waiting for this day for agessss; it’s the big 18 so that makes me even more excited.

I’ve decided to throw a party at the pack house but I needed Nate’s permission before I could do anything.

I knocked on his office door. “Come in!”

I opened the door and made my way in.

“Lily? Is everything alright” Nate looked slightly worried and stood up to stand in front of me. I haven’t seen or spoken to him since the gym changing room incident yesterday.

“I was wandering if I could have a party here tomorrow for my 18th” I smiled out of politeness

“Of course you can. Anything for you” he said softly while placing a hand on my cheek.

I froze but soon melted into his touch. Suddenly Nate pulled away and did one of those nervous coughs.

“Ermm is there - is there anything I could get for you?” Nate stammered out as he scratched the back of his neck

I smiled at his cuteness “yeah could you get some alcohol, just a mix of a load of stuff”

“Sure, I’ll get that later. Vodka and orange is your favourite right?”

“Yeah. Wait, how do you know?” I asked slightly confused

Nate chuckled nervously “remember when we were 7 and we wanted to make our orange juice fizzy and we thought the vodka was lemonade so we used that?”

I laughed “oh yeah, our moms went mental when they realised we were drinking vodka and orange but we had no idea”

We laughed at the memory, they were the good times.

I sighed when I realised that we may never have those moments again “Well I better be off, I’ve got a party to plan!”

“I’ll be there if you want me to?” he asked

“Yeah, I would like that” I smiled at him and walked out the door

That must have been the most civil conversation we’ve had since he came back. I went to find Sophie so we could plan the party for tomorrow

*The Next Day*

Bounce

Not again!!

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY LILY!”

Bounce

“Soph, remember what happened last time you bounced on my bed” I removed my head from my pillows and raised my eyebrow at her. Her eyes widened and she stopped bouncing. I chuckled and sat up

“Happy birthday Lil”

“Thanks! Come on let’s get this show on the road!” we got off the bed and skipped down the stairs. I was graced with everyone around the table “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” they all shouted

This made me grin “Aww thanks guys!”

My mom came over “Happy birthday sweetie, my baby is growing up!” this caused me to chuckle. She hugged me and gave me my present. Sophie and Lexi did the same and so did Steven and Melissa.

I sat at the table and started to open my presents. From my mom and dad I got a new iphone!

“Omg! Thanks mom and dad!” I got up and hugged them both together
