This isn't the first time I have ever woken up with a smile on my face but this is the first time I have ever woken up with a mother's smile. It was in every way different but familiar for me as I've witnessed it many times whether I've seen it tattooed on my mom's face my whole entire childhood and beyond or a mother at a park teaching her kid how to ride without training wheels. I know what it looks like, aside from that I know what it feels like. Amazing.

Upon opening my eyes I witnessed an exceedingly paradisiacal sight, Dominic sat in the seat next to me as he held our newborn son. He had the most adoring smile plastered on his face for the world to see as he looked down at our son, his eyes never missing a second.

Losing track of time, I laid there watching the two of my men interact with each other as Dominic slipped Junior's baby blue beanie back releasing a few of his starless silky curls. Gently, he ran his fingers through his hair, lightly dragging them down as he trace the outlined of his eyelids, his little nose, and lips.

"He gets his looks from you." I whispered truthfully. It didn't look possible, however Dom's smile grew wider.

"He has your nose."

I giggled, softly with a roll of my eyes. "Yeah right, he is the exact replica of you."

He chuckled.

"I'm still having a hard time believing he's here." He whispered, trying not to wake our son. "Yesterday, he was just in your belly and now he's in my arms."

"I know. I thought last night was a dream until I opened my eyes to my two men." I beamed, sitting up slowly, wincing from the pain down there. Dom stood up coming to my rescue. "It's fine, baby."

Passing Junior to me, Dom sat down next to me at the edge of the bed watching us together. "I never told you how proud of you I am for giving birth to our baby boy." I looked up at him to see him still looking down at Junior but as soon as I smiled he looked up at me, meeting my eyes. "You have given me the greatest gift of life and I love you so much for it."

"Thank you, baby." I whispered. "I love you, too."

Carefully, he leaned in planting a soft and lingering kiss on my lips.

Suddenly, pulling back when we heard Junior let out a baby gurgle as he wiggled a little in his sleep. Looking down at him, his eyes tightened, nose scrunched up so cutely as his mouth opened wide in a yawn. Blinking his big bright brown eyes open and looked up at me.

Dom chuckled. "That was the cutest thing-"

"Ever." I finished, laughing looking down at my precious baby boy. "Hi, Dominic Juan Martinez Jr. I'm your mommy." I smiled down at him. "And this big head guy next to me is your daddy."

"Hey!" Dom exclaimed with a chuckle.

Dom picked up his little hand and began playing with his micro fingers, amazed at how small they were compared to his, but were kind of long.

Although, Junior surprised us both by squeezing his little hand around Dom's pointer finger.

"Damn, this is the second time in my lifetime I have ever loved someone so quickly." Dom sniffed as I just noticed tears streaming down his face. He wiped the tears from his face quickly. "Also, the first time I've ever cried more than three times within ten hours." He chuckled, making me giggle.

"I won't hold it against you." I smiled.

My room door opened and in walked my nurse. "You're all up." She smiled.

"Yep."

"Good, because it's time for his first feeding." She said walking over to me.

"I'm scared." I smiled sheepish. "I don't want to do it wrong."
