Within the trees (Slenderman x reader)

Chapter 1

(Narrator's P.O.V)

It was a calm night within the outskirts of (T/n). Crickets chirp and the leaves and tall grass move ever so slightly as a brisk wind blew past them.

On this calm night a police car flew past everything as it made it's way down and empty street to a not so far woods. In this police car was a male and a female. The male had ginger hair and bright green eyes with freckles peppered his pale cheeks. The female had (h/l), (h/c) hair and (e/c) eyes with (s/c) skin. Their names are Connor and (Y/n), or also know as officer Conner and investigator (Y/n).

The two were on their way to a nature trail were a couple of bodies have been discovered amongst the trees.

Finally turning down a dirt road (Y/n) sighed,"this is the third time this week and it's only Tuesday, they seem to be getting more frequent." Connor nodded in response, Conner hardly ever talked during work hours but outside of work he was a pretty talkative person, considering (Y/n) and him were friends.

Finally the two reached the seen of the crime. Once again fire fighters were getting limbs and organs from trees.

The chief of police walked up to the duo,"investigator (Y/n) here is the paperwork and portfolios of what's left of the two once missing people, Connor go find the others, you know what you have to do." With that the chief of police went somewhere else. (Y/n) open the first portfolio, it was the mother: Christina May.

Christina May: 24 years old, long strawberry blond hair and hazel eyes. Last seen wearing: white short sleeved shirt and dark blue jean shorts.

Christina May was last seen by her husband as she was walking out the door with their daughter to go get groceries. Car was found crashed into a ditch next to Town Line rd. and the forest. Blood evidence showed that the were in the car when it crashed but didn't have enough extreme injuries.

It was believed that they went to go find help and once they found it they were kidnapped. No other evidence was found.

Closing Christina's portfolio (Y/n) open the next one, which blog to the daughter: Anna May.

Anna May 5 years old, long strawberry blond hair with brown eyes. Last seen wearing: a pink dress with a teddy bear on it and a pink bow in her hair.

Anna was last seen by her father when she went with her mother going out the door to go get groceries. When interviewed Dawson May said, "My daughter had been acting a bit strange she'd kept saying,"daddy theirs a man in the woods, he's looking at me while hiding behind a tree." But when I checked their was no man and when I asked what he looked like she said,"I couldn't see his face but he was really tall, had pale skin and he was wearing a suit with a red tie."." No evidence was found of any man outside in the woods.

I closed the portfolio and sigh. Poor little girl.

Unfortunately she hasn't been the first case, in fact she has to be the fifteenth one sense this all started. It only start three weeks back, at first it was a few sprinkled in but then it had become more frequent in the weeks following. For the most part it was mostly kids and teens with some adults in the mix.

Once the body parts were removed from the trees I start my job. I put Vapor under my nose then put on white, rubber gloves and grabbed my camera. And started taking pictures of the human remains. Sense it was easy to see, because of the police car head lights, taking pictures was easy.

After I was done taking picture I was going to leave until I noticed something. I bent down and moved the little girl's leg their on her leg was a symbol. Zodiac killer wannabe? I moved the leg up right but instead of it being the Zodiac killer symbol it was a circle with an 'x' through it carved in the little girl's leg, near the ankle so it would have been cover up by the knee-high socks she was wearing. I quickly took a picture of the symbol, set the leg back in it's position and left the human remains.

Pulling off the once pure white gloves I set them in a plastic bag and zipped it up, leaving it on one of the police cars so some one will get rid of them.

Connor walk behind me and tapped my sholder signaling me to get in our police car.

Hopping in the car and buckling up, we left. We drove off with no words regarding the crime seen.

Finally after what seemed like hours Connor stopped in front of my apartment building.

I got out of the car,"good night Connor tell your wife and kids I said "hi" tomorrow." He nodded. I shut the door and he drove off. I walked in my apartment building and smiled at the thought of Connor's wife Julia and his twin boys Cody and Danny. Julia had a baby girl on the way that they decided to name Dawn.

Finally after walking stairs to the third floor then walking down the hallway I came to my apartment. I pulled out the keys and unlocked the door. Walking inside I re-locked the door an put my keys on the nearby end table.

I live in a two bedroom apartment only using one bedroom as an office. I lived alone but it would hardly bother because I was consumed by my work most of the time. I often found something to do to fill in the empty feeling in my home and heart. I was very lonely and could never find some to love because of my work.

Shaking my head of what ever other thought ran through my head, I headed to my office to get my paper work done.

I saw some people didn't want me to stop writing, which I wasn't planning to, and it motivated me to come out with a the first chapter of a new book.
