As the night slowly passed, the time seem to go quickly. All except for two, an ancient creature and a light sleeping female, despite falling asleep earlier the young woman couldn't stay asleep. Barely asleep the young woman quietly got up, carefully she crept out of the room, down the stairs, and down the hall. She tip-toed into the kitchen and scoured the kitchen cabinets in search of a glass.
As soon as she found one, she put it under the faucet and turned on the cold water. Finally she turned the faucet off and put the glass of water up to her lips. Taking a big gulp of the water that was somehow better early in the morning. Suddenly a hand fell upon the (s/c) clothed shoulder, scaring the female as she nearly dropped the cup and choked on some water.
She turned around quickly, coughing hard. The hand carefully rubbed and patted her back. She looked up, slightly annoyed. There stood the one and only Slenderman.
"My apologies Miss (Y/n), I didn't mean to startle you." He apologized.
Attempting to recollect herself, she flipped the bird, slightly upset with the creature. Finally she collected herself and glared at the faceless man, "what was that for?"
The woman was clearly upset and annoyed, "despite how quiet you were, I heard you come down stairs. I wanted to say you have quite the talent for sneaking, and I also wanted to see why you were up."
(Y/n) sighed, "I couldn't sleep right, so I came out here to get a drink." The female turned around, leaned on the counter, and continued drinking her magic early morning/night water. She wasn't to sure what time it really was.
(Y/n) looked out the window at the starry sky, "So what are you doing up?"
Slenderman leaned beside her and answered, "I don't really need to sleep, it's nice to get every once and a while though. But I was mostly planning tomorrow's training exercises. "
The female hummed in response, not really interested in the topic. Her mind was stilling swimming with thoughts.
"You're a loud thinker." Slenderman states.
(Y/n) glared at him, telepathically cursing at him for listening to her thoughts.
"Well, I can't help it. Usually I can choose weather or not I can hear someone, but when you so loud I can here it from my office." Slenderman says, sounding slightly annoyed at the female's "tone".
She looked back out the window, enjoying the night sky. Doing her best to ignore the creature. An awkward silence lingered between the two, it was practically suffocating.
"You know..." Slenderman started, "I didn't kill him."
"Who-" the female started, staring in confusion, only to be cut off.
"That man you were with- the German one."
This was of course surprising to hear, there was no way Fritz was still alive. He must have been lying.
"I speak only the truth on this (Y/n), he is alive. Just with a nasty case of amnesia, I hit him quite hard over the head." Slenderman explains, still enjoying the view out the window.
"But, why?" She asked.
"Oh, he hasn't really done anything to deserve being killed. I mean- not many people do deserve it- but you seemed to enjoy his company. I figured it would be hard to get you to cooperate if I killed him, especially after the whole "Nicholas Jackson" thing." Slenderman explains.
"Why did you kill him anyway?" (Y/n) questioned.
"He is the one who called me in, he works for the SCP foundations. All chief of police do, it is to keep order and balance between humans and supernatural. I was mainly upset with him, and yes I know I should let my anger take away my own moral compass, the damage had already been done. I didn't make a diffrence if I killed him or not, it would change the foundations from coming here. If anything it just made it worse." Slenderman says ashamed of himself.
(Y/n) could almost understand where he was coming from. Not the whole murdering someone but, she would be lying if she says she hadn't done something that she regretted doing later when she was angry. She attempted to think of how it would affect her life if someone had threatened her way of living, then she remember that she has killed people in self defense.
It was an odd spot to put herself in, but the more she thought about it the more she understood. Slenderman probably didn't know or care at the time that he had a family, but still the reason why she was here in the first place irked her imaginary chain. Investigating a mass amount of children being murdered.
There was no reason for that, they were innocent and didn't deserve such a thing. She thought.
Slenderman sighed, "alright time to go back to bed you, I have to continue working."
Slenderman took the almost empty glass from the (brunette, blonde, ect.)'s hands and carefully put it in the sink. Grabbing the adult's shoulder and teleporting her to her shared room. He tucked her in like she was a small child, which was kind of weird for her since that hadn't happened since she was young girl.
He then teleported back into his office, sitting down on the black, leather office chair that was behind the dark wood desk.
(Slenderman's P.O.V.)
I continued to fiddle with the camera that (Y/n) had on her. I had taped up the lens and I was curious to see what was inside.
Finally I got the durably camera open and i glance inside, it was the standard things in a camera. But something had caught my eye, a little device that had a blinking red light on top. I started to panick destroying the camera pieces.
