At home, his dad is abusive and at school, everyone are bullies but what's hurting Chris the most is that he thinks he deserves all this. Years and years of torment led him to believe everything everyone said to him is true. 

'I can never change. No one would ever care for me.' He keeps telling himself. He keeps forcing himself to change. 

But what he doesn't know or understand is that he doesn't have to change for someone to care for him. All he has to do is wait for the message to pop from his phone. Wait for that message to change his life.

As the rain began to fall just like Chris' hopes and dreams of ever living a normal teenage life, the thunders rattled just like a slap to the cheek, bringing the boy out of his thoughts and to his senses. Chris ran home knowing what was in store for him that night.

Another episode of numbed pain and torture.

Another emotionless encounter.

Another night filled with horror and unpleasant surprises.
