“Yes, Lils?”

“No ‘hey’ or anything? Damn.”

“Well, I’m at the store again. I forgot taco shells somehow. Anyway, did you want anything else in particular?”

“Get cake batter, some vanilla frosting, unsweetened chocolate, and some sugar. I have a plan.”

“That can’t be good.”

“Hush. Also, get some hot chocolate, salad shit – Italian and/or Ranch dressing would be preferred – and things for a barbeque.”

“But it’s, like, almost forty degrees here. It’s that a bit cold to be having a barbeque?”

“Oh-fucking-well, Jaime! I want to have one. Does your pool have a heat system?”

“Yeah…”

“Good! We can swim, too.”

“Lily, you are something else.”

“I know. So are you, though.”

“Awesome. We’re something-else’s together.”

“Together forever!”

“Yes, yes, together forever. Okay. Let me get that stuff. I’ll call you back whenever.”

“’Kay. Love you.”
