“I’m not that special.”
“Did you just say that? Are you serious? You’ve been such a big part of my – er, our – lives since 2013. It’s almost been two years! That’s pretty damn important to us.”
“Well, I feel… famous, almost.”
“You should. We talk about you all the time.”
“You do?”
“Of course! Anyway, you still remember my address, right?”
“I have it memorized.”
“Really?”
“Mhm. I do.”
“Well, good, because there’s a few things I have to prepare to make your trip perfect and I can’t leave my house to go get you…”
“That’s okay, Jaime. We’ll get a taxi there.”
“I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay! Don’t worry about it.”
“I’ll make it up to you. I have no idea how, yet, but I will. Mark my words.”
“Okay, okay. I’ll see you soon – literally.”
“I’ll see you soon, Lily. Love you.”
