Living in the shadows (Shikamaru's sister story * Naruto fan fiction)

Chapter 1 - Who am I?

I'm Ichigo Nara, the younger sister of Shikamaru Nara. I'm 12 years old now. I have mid-lenght black hair. I live in Konoha with my family.

You think, that you have heard about Shikamaru before? It is possible, because my brother is a very clever and acknowleged ninja. I live in his shadow, moreover it usualy feels like I'm one of his shadows.

Nobody acknowledges me. Even my family loves Shikamaru more than me. Father always talks about him. He usually praises him even behind his back with things like "your brother is a very good shinobi" or "one day I belive you will be as skilled and clever as your brother".

I'm tired of this! Noone can see, that I'm different form him? Why can't they accept me as an individual? Bearing these expectations, my life sure is troublesome.

Every teacher in the ninja academy expects me to be a outstandingly highly skilled and extremely clever kid, just because Shikamaru was like this. Despite his laziness of course.

I do not want to follow him in everything! Creating my own path in life is my dream. I want to leap out from the shadows and live my own life!
