You looked at your best friend, studying her face.

Her freckles were stars; and her eyes the moon. Her hair was fire, gentle and calming fire.

She is a goddess, flawless. Nothing in this world compares to her.

But she's only your best friend.

She won't ever hold you at night. You won't wake up with her. You won't go on dates, walks. You can't love her, she's only your best friend.

As you were admiring her face, she turned to you.

"I'm gay" She said quietly.

Your heart skipped a few beats. Maybe you will be more than best friends.

"I am too" You told her, your cheeks heating up.

She looked at you in shock, and a huge smile appeared on her face.
