Eddie's pace matched your own as he walked home with you from the barrens. He lived on the same street as you, just a few blocks down.
"Well, see you tomorrow?" He asked, turning to walk down his end of the street.
"Of course. Bye, Eddie Spaghetti," you teased him with a smile.
"Oh god, not you too! It's bad enough when Richie calls me that," Eddie huffed.
"It's catchy," you shrugged.
"Oh, whatever. Bye, y/n," he waved.
You waved back, and walked down the street.
As you neared your house, you heard another pair of footsteps behind you, and didn't think anything of it until you heard a cough. A cough that sounds exactly like Eddie.
"Eddie? I thought you were going home," you turned around to face Eddie.
"I was. Until I remembered that I want to tell you something," he said. The vibe of your street grew eerie. It felt like the wind had stopped blowing, the sun had stopped moving- like time had stopped all together.
"What?" You asked him, feeling nervous as his shirt began to ruffle in the wind, but you could not feel any breeze.
"I just wanted to say, that I don't want to be friends anymore. Truthfully, I never liked you," Eddie sneered, taking small steps towards you.
"What? I thought we were best friends."
"Yeah, not so much. I don't think we should talk anymore, since I don't like you. I don't think we should even see each other anymore," he spoke in almost a growl. It was odd to hear Eddie like this, as he was usually such a sweet, innocent looking boy.
"O-okay. Um, bye, Eddie," you mumbled, turning away.
You took a few steps, and then turned around to see Eddie again. He was gone, almost as if he had never been there.
When you turned around, you felt the slight breeze again, and time felt like it started again.

The next day, you rode your bike to school. Of course, Eddie and his friends were by the bike rack."Hey, y/n!" Richie smiled.
You smiled at Richie, but frowned at Eddie. You kept your head down, and entered the school.
Again, at lunch, Eddie tried to talk to you. Did he not remember what happened?
"What's wrong, y/n?" Eddie asked as he approached you at lunch.
"As if you don't know," you huffed and walked away from him.
Eddie walked back to his table, and sat down feeling extremely confused.
"What the fuck just happened?" Richie exclaimed.
"I don't know. I asked her what's wrong and she said 'as if you don't know' then walked away," Eddie shrugged.
"Is it something at home, maybe?" Stan suggested.
"She always seemed fine with her parents. Maybe she got in a fight?" Beverly added.
"M-m-maybe. But E-e-eddie said that sh-she said 'as i-if y-y-you don-don't know'", Bill said.
"Yeah. Eddie, did you say anything weird to her last night?" Ben asked Eddie.
"No. I just walked home," Eddie answered.

After successfully avoiding the Losers for the rest of the day, you rode your bike home, already thinking about the mountain of homework.
