Poem #16

"I walk these halls
Sharing it with a bunch of dolls
The chains I wear are slowing me down
And people continue to rip off my crown
Dragging me by my wrist
Laughing every time I hissed
They think this is all a joke
I try hard not to choke
On all my tears that are mixed in with my fears
Everyone's screaming in my face
Cause they know where I place
But they aren't done having fun
I start to cry
As they look me in my eye
I try to push my self away
Why do they wanna stay?
This isn't a game
But to them I'm just lame
I attempt to pick my crown up
But they just push me back down
Snickering as they watch me struggle
Finally the bell rings
But it's still stings
Cause I have to wake up tomorrow
And do this all over."
