Sans x Reader

Papyrus's POV

"S-SANS?!" I called out. He had left this morning and wasn't back yet. I slowed down my pace as I heard something. It sounded like crying. 

I kept walking towards the voice until I came to a clearing. I saw the human..sitting next to something. I took a few steps forward.

"S-SANS! SANS NO NO SANS COME BACK!" the human screamed. I took a step forward and stopped. Sans jacket was laying on top of....dust. I felt myself collapse. The human turned. They had dust all over them, a knife was on the floor nearby.

I became angry. 

"YOU!" I screamed. Picking the human up with my magic and throwing them. They hit a tree and fell. Not moving. I took a few steps and stood in front of my brothers jacket. 

I fell to the ground and picked it up, pulling it on. I stood up and looked back at the human. My eyes glowing orange. They didn't move. They stood there crying. They looked at me, tears falling down their face.

They lifted their hand but before they could do anything I picked them up with my magic again. I threw them with all the energy I had. They stopped and didn't move.

Your POV

"P-papyrus.." I whimpered, pain moving through my body. 

Everything looked bad. I knew it looked like I killed him. But I didn't...at least...not on purpose. Chara did. She took over my body and did it. Before Sans died he told me to look in his pockets. I was so in denial that I forgot to.

"WHY?" Papyrus said. His voice shaking. He walked back over towards me and loamed over me. Waiting for me to say anything.

"His pockets." was all I could say. Papyrus looked confused but put his hand in the pocket. His face looked surprised. He pulled out what looked to be two envelopes. He opened one and read it. 

I stayed where I was. I wasn't going to lie. I wanted Papyrus to kill me. I had killed the one person that had trusted me since the start. It wasn't specifically me but..I was the one who had the dust on my hands. 

After Papyrus read the note. He fell to the ground. I didn't say anything. He slowly took the other envelope and handed it to me. I shakily extended my hand out and took it. 

I carefully unfolded it and read it.

(Y/n), I knew this day was going to come. You're strong but Chara only grew stronger. Ever since she moved to your body I've noticed it. I'm not sure how long until Chara has full control or if she is even going to take full control. I honestly don't know. But what I do know is that you can control it. With enough help you can control Chara. Chara had a special hatred towards me so I knew she was going to kill me. (Y/n), I'm not sure I told you this enough but I love you. I love you with all my heart. I didn't realize it was possible until I met you. Papyrus...he isn't going to handle this well. So please, watch over him. Make sure he gets over this. I don't want him to spend his whole life with this memory. Make sure he gets to the surface. I love you. Both of you.                                                                   Goodbye

I let the letter fall from my hand. I slowly looked up at Papyrus. He was staring at the snow. He looked at me and I noticed he was crying. As if in cue we both lunged at each other and hugged. We both shook as we sobbed, knowing he was gone. I didn't need to read the note Sans wrote to Papyrus to know what it said.

I knew it said something along the lines of how Sans didn't want his brother to remember this. That's the kind of person Sans was. Always thinking of others. Even if it didn't always seem clear. 

Everything was confusing. How Sans knew was confusing. Why my body made Chara stronger was confusing. The one thing that wasn't confusing. Was Sans.

He was gone and we had to accept it.
